Discover the French Riviera by Yacht
Few coastlines reward a yacht the way this one does. In under a hundred nautical miles the Côte d'Azur runs from the Italian border to the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, and almost everything worth seeing sits on the water: Monaco and its deep-water harbour, Cap d'Ail, the sheltered bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the pine headlands of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Nice and the Baie des Anges, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, Cannes and the Îles de Lérins, then Saint-Tropez and the long sweep of Pampelonne.
Chartering privately changes the geography. The coast road slows to a crawl through July and August, and the best beaches and restaurants are precisely the ones that are hardest to reach by car. From a yacht you move between towns while lunch is served, anchor in coves that have no road access at all, and step ashore by tender exactly where you want to be.
It also changes the pace. A morning can be spent swimming off Cap-Ferrat and the evening walking the quays in Antibes without a transfer in between. Guests who normally spend a week in one hotel find they have seen five towns and a dozen anchorages, and never once packed a bag.
Lund Group arranges day charters, weekly charters, superyachts, motor and sailing yachts, event charters, private celebrations, corporate hospitality and fully bespoke Mediterranean itineraries along this coast — and beyond it, when a week allows for Corsica and Sardinia.

Monaco
From Monaco, Across the Côte d'Azur
Port Hercules is the only deep-water port on this stretch of coast, and that single fact makes Monaco the most practical charter base on the Riviera. Large yachts lie stern-to within walking distance of the Casino and the circuit, provisioning is straightforward, and guests can be on board within the hour of landing at Nice.
From there the coast opens in both directions. Cap d'Ail is minutes away, followed by Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Nice. Continue west and you reach Antibes, Cannes and the Lérins islands, then Saint-Tropez. Turn east and the Italian Riviera begins. Almost every worthwhile anchorage on the Côte d'Azur is within a comfortable day's cruising of Monaco.
Saint-Tropez
Saint-Tropez by Yacht
Saint-Tropez is at its best approached from the sea. The old port sits against the town, so guests step ashore for the market, the galleries and dinner without a transfer in either direction, and the summer traffic on the coast road becomes somebody else's problem.
South of the village, Pampelonne stretches for several kilometres behind the beach clubs that made the place famous, most of them reached by tender from a yacht at anchor. Between the headlands there are quieter coves for swimming and water toys, and sunset cruising back towards the port is the natural end to the day before the town wakes up again.

Cannes
Cannes Yacht Charter
Cannes is built around arrivals. The harbour sits directly behind the Croisette, so a yacht here is walking distance from the hotels, the restaurants and the Palais des Festivals — which is why the bay fills with yachts during the film festival and the city's congress season, and why it works so well for private entertaining and corporate events.
Offshore, the Îles de Lérins change the character of the day entirely: pine woods, clear water and sheltered anchorages a short tender ride from the bay. Most Cannes charters spend the middle of the day there and return to the Croisette for dinner and coastal cruising along Cap d'Antibes.

Cost
How Much Does a French Riviera Yacht Charter Cost?
The principal factors are the size and type of the yacht, the season, the duration of the charter, the number of guests, the itinerary you choose, the size and experience of the crew, and the amenities carried on board — tenders, water toys, a beach club, stabilisation at anchor.
Beyond the charter fee itself, budget for VAT where it applies to your itinerary, the Advance Provisioning Allowance, marina and berthing costs in ports such as Port Hercules, Port Vauban and Saint-Tropez, and fuel, which varies enormously with how much time you spend under way rather than at anchor.
Rates vary by yacht, dates and itinerary. Request a tailored quotation and we will set out every element in writing before anything is committed.
Request a tailored quoteWhat Is APA?
APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance. It is a running fund paid to the captain before you embark — commonly around a quarter to a third of the charter fee — used to cover the operational costs of your charter as they arise.
In practice it pays for fuel, food and drink, port and berthing fees, laundry, communications and shore-side arrangements. The captain keeps an account of what is spent, shares it during the charter, and returns any unused balance at the end. If spending approaches the balance, the captain will ask you to top it up.
The exact percentage, what falls inside it and how it is accounted for depend on the yacht and the charter agreement. Yacht charter costs vary by vessel and by contract, and we go through both with you before you sign.
