The peninsula of Cap d'Antibes shapes most charters here. Its western side shelters Golfe-Juan and Juan-les-Pins; its eastern side holds the coves around Anse de l'Argent Faux, known informally as Billionaires' Bay, with clear water and short tender rides ashore. Cannes and the Îles de Lérins lie a few miles west, Nice and Villefranche a short cruise east.

Cap d'Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and the Lérins
A day from Antibes usually rounds the Cap for swimming in the eastern coves, then crosses to the Îles de Lérins for lunch at anchor before returning to Port Vauban or continuing to Cannes for the evening.
Longer itineraries run west to Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne, or east through Nice and Villefranche to Monaco and the Italian border. Routes are set with the captain according to conditions and how much time you want under way.
Embarkation
Port Vauban and the Quai Camille Rayon
Port Vauban, beneath the ramparts of old Antibes, is one of the Mediterranean's best-known yacht harbours. Its large-yacht quay, the Quai Camille Rayon (often called the IYCA or "Billionaires' Quay"), takes some of the biggest yachts on the coast, which is why so many charter yachts winter or base here.
A yacht being based in Antibes is not the same as a berth or quay slot being free for your dates. Berths are requested by the yacht's agent and, in peak season or event weeks, a yacht may embark you at anchor off the Cap or in the Golfe-Juan instead, with guests brought out by tender.
- Capacity is never availability: berthing is confirmed for your specific dates.
- Larger yachts may embark at anchor, with tender transfers from the port.
- Berthing fees are usually charged through the APA rather than included in the base rate.
West of the Cap
Port Gallice, Juan-les-Pins and Golfe-Juan
On the western side of Cap d'Antibes, Port Gallice at Juan-les-Pins and the harbour at Golfe-Juan are practical alternatives to Port Vauban, closer to Cannes and the Îles de Lérins. They suit day charters, smaller yachts and guests staying in Juan-les-Pins or on the Cap.

Anchoring Around Cap d'Antibes
The Cap splits the coast in two, which gives crews a choice: the eastern coves, including the bay known as Billionaires' Bay, or the western side towards Juan-les-Pins, depending on which is sheltered from the day's wind and swell.
Anchoring over the protected Posidonia seagrass meadows along this coast is restricted; crews use permitted zones or mooring buoys. The captain chooses the anchorage on the day.
Itineraries
Routes from Antibes
Antibes sits between Cannes and Nice, so most routes start with a choice of direction. Cruising times depend on the yacht and the sea, so we set them with the captain rather than quote them.
- Antibes → Îles de Lérins → Cannes: lunch at anchor between Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, then an evening in Cannes.
- Antibes → Nice → Villefranche → Monaco: east along the coast for a swim off Villefranche and an evening in the principality.
- Antibes → Saint-Tropez: best as part of a multi-day charter, with Pampelonne and the Saint-Tropez gulf.
- A sample week: Cap d'Antibes and the Lérins, Saint-Tropez and the Esterel coast, then east to Villefranche, Monaco and back.
- Longer routes: Corsica and Sardinia, as weather-dependent open-water crossings decided by the captain.
Formats and dates
Day or Weekly Charter, and What "Available" Means
Some smaller yachts in Antibes accept day charters; many larger yachts take only weekly bookings, sometimes with a minimum duration in peak weeks. We never divide a weekly rate into a day rate.
Availability is date-specific. Before presenting a yacht we confirm it is free for your dates, can start in Antibes, and whether a delivery or repositioning fee applies to bring it here from elsewhere.
Costs
What an Antibes Yacht Charter Costs
The base rate covers the yacht and crew. It is not the full cost, and we go through every line before you sign.
- Base rate: the yacht and crew for the agreed period.
- APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance): fuel, food and drink, port and berthing fees and extras, accounted for by the captain, with any balance returned.
- VAT: charters in French waters are generally subject to French VAT; the rate depends on the yacht and itinerary and is set out in the contract.
- Delivery or repositioning: may apply if the yacht is not already based near Antibes.
- Crew gratuity is customary and at your discretion.
Arrivals
Nice Airport and Cannes-Mandelieu
Most guests arrive through Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, east of Antibes. Business jets can also use Cannes-Mandelieu airport to the west, subject to its aircraft and operating restrictions. Transfer times depend on traffic and season, so we plan them rather than promise them.
Lund Group arranges private jets, helicopter transfers and chauffeured cars through independent operators. We do not operate either airport or any private-aviation terminal.

Event Charters from Antibes
Antibes is a practical base between Cannes and Monaco during the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix and the Cannes Yachting Festival, when berths nearer the events are committed early. Event-week rates and minimums are confirmed on request, and no yacht's presence at an event is implied here.

Antibes, Nice or Cannes?
Choose Antibes for the widest concentration of larger yachts and for direct access to Cap d'Antibes and the Lérins. Choose Nice when airport convenience and eastward routes to Monaco come first. Choose Cannes when the town and its festival calendar are the reason for the trip.
