Cannes Yachting Festival Yacht Charter

A private charter yacht in Cannes during the Yachting Festival — as accommodation, a base for meetings and client hospitality, or the start of a Riviera charter. Privately sourced, and kept separate from yachts on display or for sale.

Independent provider. Not affiliated with the Cannes Yachting Festival. Show tickets, boarding, berths, activations and availability are never implied until confirmed in writing.

Your purpose

What will the yacht be for?

Accommodation aboard

Stay on a charter yacht during the show. Overnight guests are limited by cabins and certification, and planned separately from daytime guests.

Meetings aboard

A private setting for broker, builder or partner meetings away from the busy pontoons, scheduled around your show visits.

Client hospitality

Hosted lunches and evening receptions within the yacht's certified guest capacity and local rules.

Pre/post-show Riviera

Combine the show with a private charter — Lérins, Cap d'Antibes, Saint-Tropez or Monaco — in early-September conditions.

Three different yachts

Charter, display and sale are kept separate

Your charter yacht

A yacht you charter for your stay, meetings or hospitality. Its position — berthed, at anchor or nearby — is confirmed in writing.

Yachts on display

Yachts exhibited at the show by builders and brokers. Display berths are not charter berths, and boarding is by appointment with the exhibitor.

Yachts for sale

Yachts on the market, some of which may be exhibited. We match a show yacht to a listing only where it is verified.

The organiser currently reports approximately

  • 56,600 visitors
  • 680 exhibitors
  • 700 boats & yachts
  • 720 journalists

Organiser-published figures; not confirmed results for 2027.

How the show works

Two harbours, one show

The Cannes Yachting Festival is held in water across two harbours: the Vieux Port, beside the Palais des Festivals, and Port Canto at the eastern end of the Croisette. Many visitors move between them through the day.

Vieux Port

The Vieux Port

The historic harbour hosts a large part of the in-water display. During the show, most berths are allocated to exhibitors; berths for private charter yachts are very limited and never assumed.

Port Canto

Port Canto

Port Canto hosts further displays, often including larger yachts. As in the Vieux Port, show berths are for exhibitors — a private charter yacht may be positioned elsewhere and connected by tender or car.

Berthing

Show berths are not charter berths

We never present an exhibitor berth as a charter berth. A charter yacht during the show may be berthed in Cannes where available, at anchor in the bay, or berthed elsewhere on the Riviera. Each proposal states its position and whether it is contracted or to be confirmed.

Show access

Show tickets are separate

A yacht charter does not include Cannes Yachting Festival tickets or access. Tickets are obtained from the organiser.

Lund Group is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of the Cannes Yachting Festival or its organiser.

Boarding

Boarding show yachts is not automatic

Boarding a displayed yacht is at the discretion of the exhibitor, usually by appointment, and often reserved for qualified buyers. We can request viewings on your behalf; we never promise them.

Sea trials

Sea trials

Sea trials of show or sale yachts are arranged by the seller or builder, subject to their programme, weather and buyer qualification. They are typically planned after viewings and are separate from any charter.

Your journey

Charter, buy — or charter before you buy

Charter clients: we source a yacht for your stay and hospitality, and handle arrival and logistics.

Buyers: we help shortlist yachts, request viewings and sea trials, and connect you with our yachts-for-sale team.

Charter before you buy: chartering a comparable yacht during or after the show is a practical way to test size, layout and crew before an acquisition.

Guest numbers

Event guests are not overnight guests

A yacht's overnight capacity is set by its cabins and certification and is usually far lower than the daytime guest numbers it may host. Hospitality numbers also depend on position and port rules; we confirm both in writing.

Corporate hospitality

Meetings and corporate hospitality

For builders, brokers, suppliers and family offices, a charter yacht can serve as a private meeting space and evening hosting venue. Any branding requires the owner's and the port's permission and is never assumed.

Costs

What a Yachting Festival charter costs

A yacht's standard charter rate is not the festival total. Show-week terms, minimum periods, positioning, berthing, VAT where applicable and the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) all affect the final figure.

The APA is paid in advance to cover running costs such as fuel, food, beverages and berthing, and is reconciled after the charter. We quote every element in writing; no price is published on this page.

Arrival

Private jets and helicopters

Guests typically arrive via Nice Côte d'Azur or Cannes-Mandelieu. We arrange private jets, helicopter transfers where permitted and chauffeured cars to the quay, subject to slots and operator availability.

Private security

Before and after

Pre- and post-show Riviera charter

Early September is a good time to extend: west to the Îles de Lérins, Cap d'Antibes and Saint-Tropez, or east to Nice, Cap Ferrat and Monaco — subject to the yacht's schedule and weather.
