What we track

We follow the brokerage and charter markets we actually transact in: which yachts have come to market and at what asking terms, how long they have been listed, what has sold and what has quietly been withdrawn, where charter availability is tight for a given week, and what is being built at the yards whose output matters to our clients.

Much of this is not public. Central agents share status verbally, off-market opportunities never appear on a listing platform, and the difference between an asking price and a closing price is rarely published at all.

How a listing is verified before it reaches you

Nothing is presented as available until the central agent confirms it. That confirmation covers the commercial status, the dates or asking terms, the condition and survey position, and where the yacht physically is if an inspection is wanted.

• Status confirmed with the central agent, in writing.
• Specifications checked against the yacht's own documentation.
• Charter availability checked for your exact dates, not the season.
• Condition, class and refit history reviewed before any recommendation.

What we will not do

We do not publish market statistics we cannot source, we do not forecast values, and we do not present a yacht as an investment. A yacht is a depreciating asset with a running cost; anyone selling it to you as anything else is selling something else.

Private assessments

For a specific brief — a purchase, a sale, a fleet decision or a family office review — we prepare a written assessment covering comparable yachts, realistic timing, the annual budget and the risks we can see. That work is confidential and is not published here.
