Croatia's Adriatic coast has more than a thousand islands, islets and reefs. Short distances, sheltered channels and historic harbour towns make Dalmatia one of the Mediterranean's most rewarding cruising grounds.

Lund Group curates weekly and longer charters across Croatia, and arranges the flights, transfers and stays around them. Every yacht and date is confirmed with the owner's representatives before it is offered to you.

Where to go

Dalmatia, island by island

Dubrovnik

The walled city in southern Dalmatia, with an international airport and marinas nearby. A natural start or finish, and the gateway to Montenegro.

Split

Croatia's second city, built around Diocletian's Palace. The main embarkation point for central Dalmatia, with good flight connections.

Hvar

A long, lavender-scented island with a lively harbour town, quiet bays and the nearby Pakleni islands. Larger yachts usually anchor off.

Korčula

A fortified old town on a green island, known for its stone streets and local white wines. A calm stop between Hvar and Dubrovnik.

Vis

One of the most remote inhabited Dalmatian islands, with clear water, small harbours and nearby sea caves on Biševo, visited by tender where permitted.

Šibenik

A historic city on a sheltered channel, near Krka National Park and a good base for northern Dalmatia.

Kornati

A national park of some 140 bare, rocky islands. Entry tickets and park rules apply, and anchoring is limited to designated areas.

Brač

The large island across from Split, with the well-known Zlatni Rat beach and quiet villages on its north coast.

A perfect day

One day on the water

  1. Morning

    Breakfast at anchor in the Pakleni islands, then a swim in clear, calm water.

  2. Midday

    Tender ashore for lunch at a waterside konoba, or a beach set-up arranged by the crew.

  3. Afternoon

    A short cruise to Vis or Korčula, with a stop at a quiet cove along the way.

  4. Evening

    Sunset over an old harbour town, then dinner on deck or ashore.

    Split

    Embark and cruise to a quiet bay on Šolta or Brač.

  2. Day 2

    Hvar

    The Pakleni islands and an evening in Hvar town.

    Vis

    Remote coves and a tender visit towards Biševo, where permitted.

    Korčula

    The old town and nearby vineyards.

  5. Day 5

    Mljet

    The national park's lakes and forest, following park rules and fees.

    Elaphite Islands

    Šipan, Lopud and Koločep on the way south.

    Dubrovnik

    Disembark near the walled city.

Kornati, Mljet, Krka and several nature parks protect some of the coast's finest waters. Entry tickets are charged and anchoring, mooring and speed are regulated.

A short cruise south of Dubrovnik. Crossing requires clearing out of Croatia and into Montenegro, which the captain and agents handle.

Continue to Montenegro yacht charters or across the Adriatic to Italy.

Your total charter budget

The charter fee covers the yacht and crew. On top of it expect Croatian VAT where applicable, tourist tax, port and national-park fees, an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) for fuel, food, drink and berths, possible delivery fees, and a customary crew gratuity at your discretion. We set out every element in writing before you sign.

Timing & travel

When to go and flying in

The season runs from about May to October. June and September bring warm water and quieter anchorages; July and August are the peak.

Split and Dubrovnik both accept private aircraft. We arrange private jets and helicopter transfers around the charter.
