The Red Sea runs between north-east Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, with arid mountains on both shores and coral reefs close in. Water clarity is exceptional, the diving is world class, and new marina and resort development along the Saudi coast has opened more of it to visiting yachts.

Guests charter here for reef diving and snorkelling in very clear water, desert coastlines and empty anchorages, warm water outside the European summer and access to regional events and cultural sites ashore. A yacht keeps all of it within reach without daily transfers, and the crew shapes each day around the weather, the sea state and how much time you want at anchor rather than under way.

The Red Sea is usually best from roughly October to May, when temperatures are moderate; high summer is extremely hot. Cruising permissions, marinas and clearance vary by country and are checked before any itinerary is proposed.
