Why GT bands matter
Tankoa groups its models by gross tonnage. GT affects crew numbers, class and flag requirements and operating rules, so it often matters more to a buyer than length. Many Tankoa yachts are designed to stay under 500 GT.
We do not read meaning into the T or S prefixes in model names. Regulatory questions need qualified advice.
Build type
Model-based, on-spec and full custom
Tankoa builds catalogue models, owner projects based on a model, on-spec projects started without a buyer, and full-custom one-offs. Each yacht should be identified by its project number, not just its model.
Example: the 45m TX450 (C118) is described by Tankoa as a full-custom evolution of the T450. It shares lineage with the T450 but is not a T450 sister yacht.

Hybrid
Tankoa hybrid yachts
Tankoa has delivered hybrid yachts. Bintador (49.9m, 499 GT, all-aluminium) was an early reference with diesel-mechanical, diesel-electric and electric modes. Kinda, a 50m yacht based on the S501, also uses hybrid propulsion with several operating modes.
Not every Tankoa is hybrid, and earlier systems differ from current ones. A hybrid option on a model is not assumed on an individual yacht.

Production
Where Tankoa yachts are built
Genoa: Tankoa's headquarters, about 30,000 m², for engineering, outfitting and final completion.
Civitavecchia: a production hub of about 30,000 m², held under concession since December 2023, for hulls, superstructures and early outfitting on some projects.
OTAM: Tankoa acquired OTAM's business division and brand in 2025. That is a corporate link only. OTAM yachts are not Tankoa yachts and are never counted here.

Are there Tankoa yachts for sale right now?

Are Tankoa yachts under construction for sale?
Most are owner projects and are not for sale. Tankoa lists some as on-spec, such as T500 C121 and T450 C125, but availability is always subject to confirmation with the shipyard.
Is the TX450 a T450?
No. Tankoa describes the TX450 (C118) as a full-custom evolution of the T450. It shares lineage, not the same design, so we do not treat it as a sister yacht.
Are OTAM yachts Tankoa yachts?
No. Tankoa acquired OTAM's business division and brand in 2025. That is a corporate link; OTAM-built yachts remain OTAM yachts.
Are all Tankoa yachts hybrid?
No. Tankoa has delivered hybrid yachts such as Bintador and Kinda, and offers hybrid options on some models, but each yacht's propulsion must be confirmed individually.
