Buying a one-off yacht
CRN is known for custom superyachts built in Ancona. A custom yacht has few or no exact sister yachts, which changes how you compare, value and inspect her.
- Comparison relies on specification and condition, not a shared platform
- Resale depends on how widely the original design appeals
- Documentation and build records matter even more
- Refit history can change a yacht's character significantly
Build lineage
Hull number, history and names
When assessing a custom yacht, confirm her hull number, build year, delivery date and every later refit from the documents. Yachts are often renamed, so search the history under previous names too.
A clear lineage helps with surveys, insurance, class and flag, and with explaining the yacht to the next buyer.

Choosing a route
Pre-owned or full-custom new build?
A pre-owned CRN can be yours within months of an agreed sale, and a refit can adapt her to you. A full-custom new build takes considerably longer, but follows your brief from the start.
We can set out all three routes side by side, including timing, deposits and project representation. Explore new-build advisory →
Resale market
Comparing CRN yachts on the resale market
Custom yachts rarely have exact sister yachts, so the fairest comparisons combine the yacht's own specification with yachts of similar size, age and type from comparable builders. Compare build year, refit history, layout, hours and condition, not asking price alone.
Completed sale prices are usually confidential, so we do not publish estimated values. Asking-price changes we track appear in the Lund yacht market hub once there is enough verified data.
Due diligence
How to assess a pre-owned CRN
- Independent hull, machinery and systems surveys
- Sea trial under representative conditions
- Class and flag status
- Refit, warranty and yard history
- Maintenance logs and crew handover documentation
- Ownership, registration and encumbrance checks by qualified counsel
- Charter compliance, if relevant
- An operating budget matched to the yacht's size
For steel and aluminium custom yachts
- Steel hull thickness readings and coatings
- Aluminium superstructure, joints and corrosion protection
- Refit scope, yard records and sign-off
- Original build documentation and later modifications
Refit & ownership
Refit and the cost of ownership
Many pre-owned yachts go into refit after purchase, to update interiors, technical systems or compliance. Owners can return to the original builder or use another qualified refit yard; plan the scope and timing before you commit.
Annual costs usually include crew, insurance, berthing, maintenance, fuel, class and flag. They scale with size, speed and use. We would rather estimate costs for a specific yacht than quote a generic percentage.

CRN and other builders
Buyers looking at CRN often also consider other Italian yards and northern-European custom builders.

CRN yachts: frequently asked questions
Is Lund Group an official CRN dealer?
No. Lund Group is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by or representing CRN or its parent group. We represent buyers and work with the listing broker or seller's representative on each yacht.
Are there CRN yachts for sale right now?
This page shows CRN yachts published for sale in our database. When there are none, we can still approach the market privately for your brief. Other CRN yachts may be offered through other brokers or privately.
How much does a CRN yacht cost?
CRN builds custom yachts, so prices depend heavily on the individual yacht: length, year, specification, refit history and condition. We only show asking prices published on a verified listing.
How do you compare one-off custom yachts?
With few or no sister yachts, comparison relies on specification, build and refit history, condition and survey findings, plus comparable yachts from other builders of similar size and age.
Are the CRN charter yachts on Lund Group for sale?
No. CRN yachts listed for charter are not for sale unless a sale listing is published and verified. We can still ask an owner's representative discreetly on your behalf.
Can you find a CRN that is not publicly listed?
We can approach the market discreetly for your brief. We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any opportunity is confirmed only once the owner or their representative agrees to share it.
Should I buy a pre-owned CRN or commission a new one?
A pre-owned yacht can be yours within months. A full-custom new build takes considerably longer but follows your brief. We can compare both routes with you.
