THE I.C.E. ST. MORITZ 2027 · GUIDE

Where to Stay for The I.C.E. St. Moritz 2027: St. Moritz or Pontresina?

How to choose between staying in St. Moritz and in nearby Pontresina for the 29–30 January 2027 concours, and what to confirm before you book a room.

Two event days, three hotel nights

The I.C.E. St. Moritz 2027 runs on Friday 29 January (static concours) and Saturday 30 January (dynamic programme). Most guests who want to see both days without rushing plan three nights: arriving on Thursday 28 January and leaving on Sunday 31 January.

This matters when you compare offers. The event dates and the hotel dates are different things: a quotation for 28–31 January covers your accommodation, while event access covers the two event days only. Check which dates each part of your booking actually includes.

Staying in St. Moritz

St. Moritz itself puts you closest to the frozen lake and the town’s restaurants, boutiques and evening atmosphere. For guests who want to walk between the hotel, the event and dinner, it is the natural first choice.

Demand concentrates on the same weekend, so availability at the best-known addresses can be limited and minimum stays may apply. Rates and conditions differ by property and are only meaningful once confirmed for your dates.

Staying in Pontresina

Pontresina is a quieter village in the Upper Engadin, a short drive from St. Moritz. It suits guests who prefer a calmer base after the event days, as well as families and groups who want space and mountain surroundings.

LUND GROUP’s hotel package for The I.C.E. 2027 is built around a five-star hotel in Pontresina for three nights. The specific property, room category and occupancy are confirmed in your written quotation rather than advertised in advance.

Staying outside St. Moritz means planning how you reach the lake each day. Ask whether transfers are included or quoted separately, and allow for winter road conditions.

Room configurations for couples, families and groups

Be precise about who is travelling so the quotation matches your needs:

  • Couples: one double room — state any preference for a view, a larger room category or a suite.
  • Families: say how many children and their ages, and whether you need connecting rooms, extra beds or a family suite.
  • Friends or colleagues: specify how many doubles and twins, and whether everyone should stay in the same hotel.
  • Corporate groups: share the number of rooms, any hosting or meeting space and who needs single occupancy.

What to clarify before you confirm

A good written proposal answers these questions clearly:

  • Exact check-in and check-out dates, and whether early arrival or late departure is possible.
  • Room category and occupancy — and the bed type, where it matters.
  • Whether breakfast and any other hotel services are included.
  • Whether transfers between the hotel, the airport and the lake are included or optional.
  • Payment schedule and the hotel’s cancellation conditions, which may differ from the event conditions.

How to request LUND’s hotel package

Choose “Drivers’ Lounge + Hotel” on the main page and tell us the number of guests, your preferred room configuration and whether you need travel. We check availability for both the Drivers’ Lounge allocation and the hotel, then send one written proposal with the total price. Everything is price on request and confirmed only in writing.
