Private Aircraft Sales

Buying or selling a private aircraft is a transaction measured in more than price. LUND GROUP manages the process around market positioning, discretion, qualified counterparties and the aircraft itself.

Owners

I own an aircraft

Understand market positioning, value the aircraft, and sell publicly or off-market with qualified buyers only.

A Private Aircraft Transaction Requires More Than a Listing

LUND GROUP manages aircraft sales discreetly, from initial market positioning and buyer outreach through transaction coordination and closing.

We are not a classifieds portal. Many of the aircraft we handle are never listed publicly; they are presented privately to qualified buyers. We act as broker or representative, and aircraft remain owned by their sellers.

Current opportunities

Aircraft Currently Available

No public listings right now

Many aircraft are offered privately rather than listed. Tell us what you are looking for and we can discuss current private and off-market opportunities.

Ask about private opportunities

Public sale

Public sale

The aircraft is presented openly with approved details and photography, reaching the widest market. Best when wide exposure matters more than privacy.

Off-market

Off-market sale

No public listing. The aircraft is shown only to selected, qualified buyers, protecting owner identity, schedule and price. A teaser with limited details is a middle path.

Exclusive vs open mandate

With an exclusive mandate one broker controls presentation and buyer contact. An open mandate lets several brokers market the aircraft, which can lead to inconsistent pricing and overexposure.

Process

How we sell an aircraft

  1. 01

    Initial discussion

A confidential conversation about the aircraft, your timing and whether a public or private sale suits you best.

  2. 02

    Aircraft review

We review specification, records, maintenance status, programs and upcoming inspections — the factors buyers will examine.

  3. 03

    Market positioning

We assess comparable aircraft and market conditions to agree an asking strategy grounded in the aircraft itself.

  4. 04

    Marketing

Public presentation, a teaser with limited details, or a fully off-market approach to selected buyers — your choice.

  5. 05

    Buyer qualification

Prospects are qualified for intent, funds and decision-making authority before detailed information is shared.

  6. 06

    Negotiation & due diligence

We coordinate offers, the letter of intent, deposits and the pre-purchase inspection with your advisers.

  7. 07

    Closing

Escrow, title, deregistration and delivery are coordinated with the specialists involved through to handover.

Valuation

Aircraft valuation

A credible value needs more than the model and year. We look at the aircraft in detail before discussing positioning, and the first conversation is free and confidential.

Sell your aircraft

Tell us about your aircraft

Tell us the aircraft, location and what you are considering. The first discussion does not need to become a public listing.

Everything you share is kept confidential and stored privately. Nothing about your aircraft is published without your explicit approval. No account needed.

Preparation

Preparing an aircraft for market

Records

Complete, organised logbooks and records are the foundation of buyer confidence.

Maintenance

Know what is coming due. An inspection close to sale affects buyer perception and price.

Specification

An accurate, current specification sheet prevents surprises later.

Cabin

Small repairs and cleaning can change how a buyer sees the aircraft.

Photography

Professional, aircraft-specific photography — never stock images.

Pricing

A realistic asking strategy avoids the aircraft becoming stale on the market.

Documentation

Ownership, registration and program documents ready for due diligence.

Buyer qualification

Detailed specifications, records and owner information are shared only after a buyer's intent, funding and decision-making authority are established, typically under a non-disclosure agreement.

Private and off-market aircraft

Some of the most desirable aircraft change hands without a public listing. Buyers who brief us clearly are the first to hear about suitable private opportunities.

By manufacturer

Aircraft sales by manufacturer

Gulfstream

Large-cabin and long-range types where program enrolment, inspection timing and cabin age weigh heavily.

Bombardier

Challenger and Global families; Global buyers focus on range, cabin zones and connectivity.

Dassault Falcon

Falcon types valued for efficiency and airport performance; program status matters.

Embraer Executive Jets

Phenom and Praetor families; strong interest from first-time and upgrading owners.

Cessna Citation

A wide range from light to super midsize, with a deep market of comparable aircraft.

Pilatus

PC-24 and PC-12 owners often value short-field and multi-role capability.

Transaction

From offer to closing

Pre-owned aircraft

Available sooner, often with upgrades already installed. Value depends heavily on records, programs and inspection timing.

New aircraft

Bought from the manufacturer with your specification, but delivery positions can be years away. Some buyers acquire a pre-owned aircraft in the meantime.

Technical due diligence

Records review, airworthiness status, damage history, programs and compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements.

Pre-purchase inspection

An inspection at an agreed facility, with scope set out in the purchase agreement. Findings are usually addressed through negotiation.

Offers & LOI

A letter of intent typically sets price, deposit, inspection scope and timeline before the purchase agreement.

Escrow, title & closing

Funds and documents are commonly held by an independent escrow agent until conditions are met and title passes.

Cross-border sales

Changes of registry, import, VAT and tax treatment vary by jurisdiction and need specialist legal and tax advice.

General information only, not legal, tax or technical advice. We coordinate with your specialist advisers.

Europe & Monaco

Aircraft sales in Europe and Monaco

Many of our clients are based in or around Monaco and across Europe. We coordinate sales involving European registries and buyers worldwide, working with the specialists each jurisdiction requires.

Timing & fees

How long does it take?

Timing depends on the aircraft, pricing, records and market conditions. Brokerage commission is agreed in the mandate; we discuss terms openly at the start.

Avoid

Common seller mistakes

Unrealistic asking price

Overpricing makes an aircraft stale, and stale aircraft attract lower offers.

Incomplete records

Missing records reduce buyer confidence and value.

Weak presentation

Poor photographs and an out-of-date specification undersell the aircraft.

Overexposure

An aircraft shown everywhere by many brokers can look harder to sell.

Poor buyer qualification

Sharing details with unqualified prospects costs time and privacy.

Ignoring upcoming maintenance

Buyers price in inspections that fall due soon after purchase.

Buying

Buying an aircraft

Brief us on the mission, cabin and budget. We present public and off-market options and can act on a dedicated acquisition mandate. See Private Aircraft Acquisition.

Charter

Sales and charter

Between owning aircraft, or while waiting for delivery, we can arrange private jet charter.

Yachts

Aircraft and yacht clients

Many aircraft owners also own or charter yachts. One advisor can coordinate both — see yachts for sale.

Discretion

Owner identity, aircraft details and price stay private unless you approve otherwise.

Market positioning

Pricing grounded in the aircraft itself, not wishful thinking.

Qualified introductions

Detailed information goes only to qualified counterparties.

International perspective

Buyers and sellers across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.

Transaction coordination

Offers, inspection, escrow and closing coordinated with your advisers.

Wider aviation capability

Charter, empty legs and aircraft selection under one roof.
