Menorca is the most easterly of the Balearic islands and the least developed of the three main ones. Its south coast is cut with narrow limestone calas, the north is rockier and more exposed, and Mahón on the east side is one of the largest natural harbours in the Mediterranean. The whole island is a UNESCO biosphere reserve.

Guests charter here for sheltered calas for swimming, the harbours of Mahón and Ciutadella, a slower, quieter pace than Ibiza and short passages between anchorages. Menorca charters run from roughly May to October. July and August are the warmest and busiest; June and September usually give better anchorage choice and calmer conditions, particularly on the north coast where the tramontana wind can build.
