About Princess Yachts

Princess Yachts builds motor yachts in Plymouth, England, from compact cruisers to its Odyssey flagship. Its yachts are widely owned in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Americas and Asia, which creates a broad international resale market.

This page is an independent buyer resource, not a corporate history. Lund Group is not affiliated with Princess Yachts Limited or its distributors.

X Class

Princess X Class and the X95 Vista

The X Class uses a Super Flybridge concept: more interior volume and a larger upper deck than a conventional flybridge yacht of similar length. Current models are the X80, X90 and X95 Vista.

Comparing an X Class with a Y Class? Look at interior volume, upper-deck arrangement, main-deck use, visibility, guest flow, performance, range and crew arrangements, not length alone. For the X95 Vista, Princess publishes about 29.0m LOA, 10 berths and a 19–22 knot maximum speed range; we infer nothing beyond official data.

Y Class

Princess Y Class

The Y Class covers Princess's larger flybridge motor yachts: the Y72, Y80 and Y95. They suit owners wanting a classic flybridge layout with crew capability at the upper end.

The Y95 and X95 are different families and platforms, even at a similar length. We never treat them as sister yachts.

S Class

Princess S Class

Sportbridge yachts — the S65, S74 and S80 — combine sport-yacht performance with flybridge-style use. Assess load history, engine hours and running gear as you would on a performance yacht.

V, F and C Class

Sport, flybridge and compact Princess yachts

The V Class (V40 to V65) are sport yachts for open-air, performance-led cruising. The F Class (F45 to F65) are flybridge motor yachts, many owner-operated. The C Class (C48 and C48 Open) is the newest compact family.

These sizes trade frequently, so condition, engines and options matter more than model name.

Odyssey and historic flagships

Odyssey 108, 40M and the M Class

The Odyssey 108, about 32.9m, is the current tri-deck flagship, oriented to longer-range cruising. We confirm its specification from Princess's latest official model page.

Princess describes the 40M as the largest yacht it has built. The 40M, 35M and earlier M Class yachts are historic, resale-market platforms. They are never merged with the Odyssey 108, X95 or Y95 in comparisons or searches.

Same model, different yacht

Compare Princess sister yachts properly

  • Model generation: Princess has updated hulls and layouts under similar names
  • Engine hours, overhauls and service history
  • Option lists: stabilisers, hardtop, tender garage, crew cabin
  • Interior finish and layout choices
  • Model specification is not the individual yacht's specification
  • Published top speed and range are model figures, not guarantees

Choosing a route

New Princess or pre-owned?

A pre-owned Princess can be yours within months and costs less up front. A new Princess follows your specification and carries a builder warranty, but is ordered through Princess's official distributor network and takes longer.

Lund Group does not sell new Princess yachts. We can compare pre-owned yachts with new-build options independently. New yachts for sale → · Pre-owned yachts →

Independent buyer representation

Why use an independent buyer adviser?

  • We act for the buyer, not the shipyard or a distributor
  • Sister yachts compared by generation, not just by name
  • Specifications checked against documents, not brochures
  • Co-brokerage with the central agent on each yacht
  • Surveyors, engine specialists and lawyers introduced independently
  • One adviser from brief to handover

Comparing builders

Princess compared with other British yachts

Princess and Sunseeker are both British builders with deep resale markets. We compare individual yachts — layout, volume, condition, engines and intended use — rather than ranking brands. Sunseeker yachts for sale →

Resale market

The Princess resale market

Princess yachts trade in many markets at once, so sister yachts are often available to compare. Completed sale prices are usually confidential; we do not publish estimated values or depreciation figures.

The cheapest Princess is not necessarily the cheapest to own. Engine overhauls, deferred maintenance, outdated electronics and cosmetic refits can outweigh a lower asking price. Lund yacht market hub →

Due diligence

Surveying and sea-trialling a pre-owned Princess

  • Independent hull and systems survey, with haul-out
  • Engine and mechanical specialist inspection with oil analysis
  • Sea trial at cruising and maximum speed under realistic load
  • Survey and sea trial are different: one is not a substitute for the other
  • Service history with records, not recollection
  • Remaining warranty confirmed in writing

After purchase

Updating, crewing and berthing a Princess

Older Princess yachts can be updated with electronics, soft furnishings, stabilisers or systems work; we budget refits before you commit, not after. Smaller models are often owner-operated, while larger yachts usually need crew.

A purchase does not include a berth. Mediterranean summer berths can be scarce; U.S. use involves import and documentation questions covered on our USA page. A yacht's location is shown only when verified.

Princess yachts: frequently asked questions

Is Lund Group an official Princess dealer?

No. Lund Group is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by or representing Princess Yachts Limited or its distributor network. We represent buyers and work with the listing broker or seller's representative on each yacht.

Can I order a new Princess through Lund Group?

New Princess yachts are sold through Princess's official distributor network. We can advise you independently and compare a new build with pre-owned options, but we do not take new-build orders.

Are there Princess yachts for sale right now?

This page shows Princess yachts published for sale in our database and updates automatically. When there are none, we can approach the market privately for your brief.

What are the Princess model families?

As of 2026 Princess groups its range into C, V, F, S, Y and X Class, with the Odyssey 108 as flagship. Model lists change over time, so we keep them under review.

What is the difference between the Y Class and X Class?

Both are large flybridge-style yachts. The X Class uses a Super Flybridge concept with more interior volume for its length. Compare volume, upper-deck layout, crew arrangements and performance, not just length.

Is the Odyssey 108 the replacement for the Princess 40M?

We do not treat it that way. The 40M is a historic platform and the Odyssey 108 is a current model of a different generation. They are never compared as sister yachts.

Is the X95 the same as the Y95?

No. They are different families and platforms, even at a similar length.

Are two yachts of the same model the same?

No. Build year, engines and hours, options, interior finish, maintenance and refit history make each yacht individual.

Are published top speed and range figures guaranteed?

No. They are manufacturer figures for a model under defined conditions. Load, engines, hull condition and sea state affect an individual yacht.

Do I need a survey and a sea trial?

Yes. An independent survey, an engine specialist inspection and a sea trial are standard. A sea trial is not a substitute for a survey.

Will warranty transfer to me?

It depends on the yacht's age and the warranty terms. We confirm any remaining warranty in writing with the seller.

Do you publish Princess resale values?

No. Completed sale prices are usually confidential, so we do not publish estimated values or depreciation figures.

Princess or Sunseeker?

Both are British builders with deep resale markets. We compare individual yachts on layout, condition and use rather than ranking brands.

Can I run a Princess without crew?

Many smaller Princess yachts are owner-operated; larger models typically need professional crew. Licensing and insurance requirements apply.

Does a purchase include a berth?

No. Berths are arranged separately and can be scarce in popular Mediterranean ports.

Can you find a Princess that is not publicly listed?

We can approach the market discreetly for your brief. We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any opportunity is confirmed only once the owner or their representative agrees to share it.

Can you help me sell my Princess?

Yes. We can advise on positioning against sister yachts and present it discreetly to qualified buyers.

Where are Princess yachts located?

We show a yacht's location only when verified with the listing agent.
