Private sourcing
Some Lürssen owners prefer not to advertise. Given a clear brief, Lund Group approaches the brokerage community and owners' representatives discreetly, while keeping your identity protected.
We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any yacht we present is confirmed with the owner or their representative before details are shared.
Brief us privately →About the builder
Lürssen has built ships at Bremen and Lemwerder since 1875 and is one of the yards most consistently associated with the very largest privately owned yachts. Construction is full custom: naval architecture, structure, layout and interior are developed for a single owner over a multi-year programme.
For a buyer, a Lürssen on the brokerage market is generally a large displacement yacht with a documented build and refit history, a substantial crew requirement and an operating budget in proportion to its size. Condition, specification and yard history matter as much as the name on the builder's plate.
Lürssen is a family-owned shipyard based in Bremen / Lemwerder, Germany. It is known for large, full-custom motor yachts that are usually well over 60 metres long.
Character
Every Lürssen is built to its own brief, so you should judge each yacht on its own documentation rather than on the builder's name alone.
Size profile
Lürssen's private yachts are concentrated at the large end of the market, from around 60 metres up to some of the longest private yachts afloat. At this size, flag, class, crew accommodation and berthing become part of the purchase decision.
For smaller programmes, compare builders such as Abeking & Rasmussen or Heesen.
Due diligence
Resale market
Very few Lürssen yachts are sold each year, and transactions are often handled privately. Asking prices depend on age, refit history, layout, condition and how the yacht has been maintained, so comparable sales are scarce and usually confidential.
We do not publish estimated values. Tracked asking-price changes appear in the Lund yacht market hub once there is enough verified data.
Comparison
Buyers looking at a Lürssen often compare it with other northern-European full-custom yards. Each has its own design approach, build model and brokerage profile.
New build
A pre-owned Lürssen can be available within months of an agreed sale. A new full-custom commission at this size usually takes several years, from design through to delivery, but it lets the layout and specification follow your own brief.
We can set out both routes side by side, including timing, deposits and project representation. Explore new-build advisory →
Refit & ownership
Many pre-owned large yachts go through a refit after purchase, to update interiors, technical systems or compliance. Plan the refit scope and timing before you commit to buy.
Annual running costs usually include crew, insurance, berthing, maintenance, fuel, class and flag. These scale with the yacht's size and how you use it. We would rather give you an estimate for a specific yacht than a generic percentage.

Selling

Why Lund Group
Lund Group is not affiliated with Lürssen and does not act as its dealer or representative.
No. Lund Group is an independent adviser and is not affiliated with, authorised by or representing Lürssen. We represent buyers sourcing and acquiring Lürssen yachts on the brokerage market, and we work with the listing broker or the seller's representative on each yacht.
Only a small number of Lürssen yachts are publicly on the market at any one time. The listings on this page come from our live yacht database and change when yachts sell, are withdrawn or change status. Some Lürssen owners also consider private, unadvertised approaches.
Asking prices depend on length, year, refit history, specification and condition. At the size where Lürssen usually builds, pre-owned yachts are generally eight- to nine-figure acquisitions. We only show asking prices that are published on a verified listing.
Yes. Lurssen is the non-accented spelling of Lürssen. The shipyard also appears in listings as Lürssen Werft, Lurssen-Werft or Fr. Lürssen Werft. This page groups all of those names under one builder.
We can approach the market discreetly for your brief. We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any opportunity is only confirmed once the owner or their representative agrees to share it.
A pre-owned yacht can be available within months, while a large full-custom new build usually takes several years from contract to delivery. The right choice depends on your timeline, layout requirements and budget. We can compare both routes with you.
Typically an independent condition and hull survey, machinery and systems inspection, a sea trial, and a review of class status, flag, refit records and ownership documentation. Legal and tax advice should come from qualified specialists.
