Private sourcing

Beyond the public listings

Some Heesen owners prefer not to advertise their yacht. With a clear brief, Lund Group approaches brokers and owners' representatives discreetly, keeping your identity private.

We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any yacht we present is confirmed with the owner or their representative before its details are shared.

Build concepts

Series, Smart Custom and Full Custom

Series

Built on a proven platform. Shorter timelines and well-understood engineering, with choices mainly in interior and detail.

Smart Custom

An existing platform adapted more deeply to the owner's brief, balancing proven engineering with personalisation.

Full Custom

A yacht designed from a blank sheet. The longest route, with the most freedom over layout, styling and technical choices.

On the resale market, a yacht's build concept affects how easily she can be compared with sister yachts.

Steel vs aluminium

Hull material and hull form

Heesen buyers usually start with two questions: steel or aluminium, and which hull form. These choices shape speed, range, comfort and running costs more than almost anything else.

Steel Heesen yachts · 0 listed

Steel hulls are usually paired with displacement hull forms: heavier, built for range, volume and comfortable passages at moderate speed.

Aluminium Heesen yachts · 0 listed

All-aluminium yachts are lighter, which typically supports semi-displacement hulls and higher speeds for their length.

3 listed yachts have no hull material recorded yet and are shown as "not yet specified".

Performance

Displacement, semi-displacement and FDHF

Displacement hulls move through the water rather than over it. They favour range, stability and fuel economy at moderate speeds.

Semi-displacement hulls partly lift at speed, allowing faster cruising, at the cost of higher fuel use when pushed.

Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) is a concept designed to stay efficient across a wider speed range than a classic displacement hull. Whether a particular yacht has it must be confirmed from her own documents.

We do not quote speeds or ranges unless they are on a verified listing.

Choosing a route

Pre-owned, in-build or full custom?

A pre-owned Heesen can be yours within months of an agreed sale. An in-build yacht shortens the wait while still allowing some choices. A full custom project takes longest, but follows your brief from the start.

We can set out all three routes side by side, including timing, deposits and project representation. Explore new-build advisory →

Resale market

Comparing Heesen yachts on the resale market

Because many Heesen yachts share platforms, sister yachts are the most useful comparison. Compare length, build year, hull material, refit history, layout, hours and condition, not asking price alone.

Completed sale prices are usually confidential, so we do not publish estimated values. Asking-price changes we track appear in the Lund yacht market hub once there is enough verified data.

Due diligence

How to assess a pre-owned Heesen

  • Independent hull, machinery and systems surveys
  • Sea trial under representative conditions
  • Class and flag status
  • Refit, warranty and yard history
  • Maintenance logs and crew handover documentation
  • Ownership, registration and encumbrance checks by qualified counsel
  • Charter compliance, if relevant
  • An operating budget matched to the yacht's size

For performance yachts

  • Engine hours, rebuild history and running at speed
  • Propulsion, shafts, gearboxes and waterjets if fitted
  • Aluminium structure, welds and corrosion protection
  • Fuel use across the speed range

For displacement yachts

  • Steel hull thickness readings and coatings
  • Stabilisers, including at-anchor stabilisation
  • Range, tankage and generator hours
  • Noise and vibration readings

Refit & ownership

Refit and the cost of ownership

Many pre-owned yachts go into refit after purchase, to update interiors, technical systems or compliance. Owners can return to the original builder or another qualified yard; plan the scope and timing before you commit.

Annual costs usually include crew, insurance, berthing, maintenance, fuel, class and flag. They scale with size, speed and use. We would rather estimate costs for a specific yacht than quote a generic percentage.

Heesen yachts: frequently asked questions

Is Lund Group an official Heesen dealer?

No. Lund Group is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by or representing Heesen. We represent buyers and work with the listing broker or seller's representative on each yacht.

How many Heesen yachts are for sale?

The number changes constantly. The yachts on this page come from our live database of published listings. Other Heesen yachts may be offered through other brokers, by the shipyard, or privately.

How much does a Heesen yacht cost?

Asking prices depend on length, year, hull material, specification and condition. We only show asking prices published on a verified listing, in the currency they were listed in.

What is the difference between steel and aluminium Heesen yachts?

Broadly, steel yachts tend to use displacement hulls built for range and volume, while aluminium yachts are lighter and often semi-displacement, built for speed. Always check each yacht's own specification.

What is a Fast Displacement Hull Form?

FDHF is a hull concept developed for efficient cruising across a wider speed range than a classic displacement hull. Whether a given yacht has it must be confirmed from her own documentation.

What are Series, Smart Custom and Full Custom?

Series yachts are built on a proven platform, Smart Custom adapts a platform to the owner's brief, and Full Custom starts from a blank sheet. Timing and flexibility differ between the three.

Can you find a Heesen that is not publicly listed?

We can approach the market discreetly for your brief. We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any opportunity is confirmed only once the owner or their representative agrees to share it.
