No Publicly Verified Italy Listings Right Now
We currently have no public sale listing whose location in Italy we can verify. That does not mean there are no yachts to buy, view or inspect in Italy. Brief our yacht desk and we will search the international market — including new-build slots, discreet and off-market opportunities — without presenting availability or location as confirmed until the seller, shipyard or central agent verifies it.

Genoa International Boat Show
Genoa's show brings yachts and superyachts, sailing, technology and boating together on the Ligurian waterfront. It can be an efficient moment for first viewings and builder conversations. Show exhibits are not Lund Group inventory: a yacht on display is not necessarily for sale, being for sale does not mean it can be viewed there, and event access is not yacht access.
2026 organiser figures: more than 1,000 boats, 215 new products and 45 countries represented. Future edition dates are shown only once announced by the organisers. Lund Group is not affiliated with the show.

Worldwide — not located in Italy.
By builder — any location.
Italy counts include only published sale listings whose Italy location was verified within the last 90 days, or whose Italy viewing is confirmed or on request. A median asking price is shown only with at least three priced Italy listings in one currency; currencies are never combined. We do not publish Italy transaction volumes, average prices or days on market without a documented dataset.
The central distinction
Italian-built is not the same as located in Italy
Italy is one of the world's leading yacht-building nations, but a Sanlorenzo may be lying in Monaco, a Benetti in Greece and a Feadship in Italy. We keep builder nationality and current location as separate facts.
The verified inventory above shows only yachts physically located — or viewable — in Italy. The Italian-built section shows yachts from Italian builders wherever they are, with current location shown only when verified.
Strategy
Buy in Italy. Search globally.
For many buyers Italy is where they meet builders, inspect yachts and take delivery, while the right yacht itself may be anywhere. We run the search internationally and bring it back to Italy when that helps.
Ecosystem
The Italian superyacht ecosystem
Italy combines large-scale series production, semi-custom and fully custom yards, interior and engineering specialists, refit capacity and a deep pool of captains and crew. That breadth makes it as relevant for new-build conversations as for brokerage.
Regions
Liguria, Tuscany and the Adriatic
Liguria — including Genoa and La Spezia — and the Tuscan coast around Viareggio are the best-known concentrations of yacht building and refit. Ancona and the Adriatic coast are also home to established yards.
These are working shipbuilding regions. A yard's presence in a town does not mean any particular yacht for sale is there, or that it can be viewed.
Clarity
A shipyard visit is not a yacht viewing
Visiting a builder shows you its processes, people and projects; viewing a yacht for sale is a separate arrangement with its seller or central agent. We arrange each on its own terms and never present a yard tour as access to a sale yacht.
New build
New build — more central in Italy than anywhere else
Italian yards offer everything from series models to full custom. Comparing build slots, specification freedom, delivery timing and contract terms is often as important as comparing brokerage yachts.
We do not list current new-build projects without builder confirmation. Ask us and we will gather the current position directly.
Pre-owned
Pre-owned yachts
A pre-owned yacht can be used immediately and its history can be documented. We set out survey findings, refit history and running costs alongside a new-build route so the decision is clear.
Due diligence
Survey, sea trial and refit
A sea trial shows how a yacht performs underway; an independent survey assesses condition, systems and compliance. They answer different questions and most buyers need both.
Italy has significant refit capacity. A yacht in refit at an Italian yard is not automatically for sale, and current location, current shipyard, sale status and viewing availability are recorded separately.
After-sales
Builder warranty and after-sales
Warranty terms, their transferability on resale and the builder's after-sales network vary by yard and contract. We ask for the documentation rather than assuming cover is in place.
Buyer-first
Buyer representation vs a shipyard's own sales team
A shipyard's sales team represents the yard. Lund Group represents the buyer: we compare builders and brokerage options side by side, coordinate independent specialists and support negotiation on your behalf.
Tax
Italian VAT and tax — do not oversimplify
VAT treatment depends on the yacht's status, its private or commercial use, the buyer, the ownership structure and where the yacht will operate. Italy is an EU member state, so EU VAT rules apply, but no single rule fits every acquisition.
We do not describe a yacht as VAT-paid or exempt without documentation. Take advice from qualified tax and legal advisers before signing.
Clarity
Flag, delivery location and current location are different
An Italian-flagged yacht may be lying elsewhere; a yacht delivered in Italy may never return; a foreign-flagged yacht may be berthed in Liguria. Only a verified current location or confirmed viewing places a yacht on this page.
After closing
Berth planning — and Sardinia
Summer berths in popular Italian harbours can be scarce. A current berth normally does not transfer with the sale unless documented. We help plan berthing early without promising any specific space.
Sardinia is a summer cruising and charter destination in its own right; we treat it separately from Italy's building regions.
Buyers
First-time buyers and existing owners
First-time buyers often benefit from chartering in Italy first and a clear explanation of running costs. Existing owners usually want a sharper comparison, a trade-up plan or help selling in parallel.
Market practice
Co-brokerage, central agents and asking prices
Many yachts are marketed through a central agent and offered through co-brokerage. Asking prices are the seller's terms, not valuations or transaction prices, and sale status can change quickly. We confirm details before presenting them as current.
Discretion
Off-market yachts and confidential briefs
Off-market means a genuine, confirmed opportunity shared privately — never a rumour. We present it only once the seller or their representative has confirmed it.
Logistics
Viewing itineraries, aviation and security
A brief might combine a builder visit in Liguria, a viewing on the Tuscan coast and a surveyor meeting in a single trip. We can coordinate private aviation, ground transport and discreet security for principals and family offices.
Questions
Buying a yacht in Italy — FAQ
How many yachts for sale are currently in Italy?
This page counts only published Lund Group sale listings whose location in Italy was verified within the last 90 days, or with a confirmed or on-request viewing in Italy. Italian-built yachts and our global fleet are counted separately.
Why might the page show no yachts in Italy?
Because we only show verified locations. An empty Italy count does not mean there are no yachts to buy in Italy; brief us and we will search the wider market.
Are Italian-built yachts located in Italy?
Not necessarily. Builder nationality and current location are separate. Italian-built yachts are shown in their own section with location only when verified.
Which Italian builders do you cover?
We follow the leading Italian yards, from Benetti, Sanlorenzo and Azimut to CRN, Baglietto, Tankoa and Rossinavi. Our builder directory lists each with independent buyer guidance.
Are you affiliated with any Italian shipyard?
No. Lund Group is independent and represents the buyer.
Can I view a yacht in Italy?
Often, yes — subject to the central agent, owner approval, charter schedules and crew. We confirm viewings before presenting them as available.
Can I visit an Italian shipyard?
Visits can often be arranged with the builder, but a shipyard visit is not a viewing of any yacht for sale.
Are yachts at the Genoa boat show for sale?
Some are, many are not. Show exhibits are not Lund Group inventory, and we confirm sale status with the seller or builder before presenting any exhibit as an opportunity.
When is the next Genoa boat show?
We publish dates only once the organisers announce them.
Can I sea-trial a yacht in Italy?
Where the seller agrees and weather, crew and port conditions allow — usually after an offer is accepted in principle.
Is a survey the same as a sea trial?
No. A sea trial tests performance underway; a survey assesses condition, systems and compliance in depth.
Should I buy new or pre-owned in Italy?
It depends on timing and specification. We compare build slots and brokerage yachts side by side.
Do you list current new-build projects?
Only with builder confirmation. Ask us and we will gather the current position directly.
Does a builder warranty transfer on resale?
It depends on the yard and the contract. We ask for the documentation rather than assuming cover.
Is a yacht in refit in Italy for sale?
Not automatically. A refit location is not a sale location.
Will I pay Italian VAT?
It depends on the yacht's VAT status, its use, the buyer and the ownership structure. Take advice from qualified tax and legal advisers.
Does an Italian-flagged yacht have to be in Italy?
No. Flag, build country, delivery location and current location are separate facts.
Does the current berth come with the yacht?
Normally not, unless specifically documented.
Do you cover Sardinia?
Yes, as part of an Italy search, but Sardinia is treated as a cruising destination rather than a building region.
Are asking prices final?
No. Asking prices are the seller's terms and can change.
Do you have off-market yachts in Italy?
Sometimes. Off-market opportunities are shared privately and only once confirmed.
Can you organise aviation and security for viewings?
Yes. We can coordinate private aviation, ground transport and discreet security around an Italy viewing itinerary.

Listings, asking terms, location and viewing availability are subject to verification and may change without notice. An Italian-built yacht is not necessarily located in Italy. A yacht exhibited at a show or lying at a shipyard is not necessarily for sale or available to view. Lund Group does not provide legal or tax advice; take independent professional advice.
