Crew gratuity is discretionary. It should reflect the service received and should never be presented as a guaranteed or mandatory charge unless the signed contract expressly says otherwise.
How it is handled
If a guest chooses to leave a gratuity, it is commonly given to the captain for distribution among the crew. Ask your broker about local convention before departure rather than relying on a universal percentage.
