Private sourcing

Beyond the public listings

Some Mangusta owners prefer not to advertise their yacht. With a clear brief, Lund Group approaches brokers and owners' representatives discreetly, keeping your identity private.

We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any yacht we present is confirmed with the owner or their representative before its details are shared.

Families

Maxi Open, GranSport and Oceano

Mangusta yachts are easiest to compare by family first, then model, then generation, then the individual yacht.

  • Maxi Open

Fast open yachts built around speed and open-air living, often with waterjet propulsion. Buyers search for models such as the 104 REV, 132 and 165 / 165 REV.

  • GranSport

Fast displacement yachts that aim to balance speed with longer range and more interior volume. Buyers search for models such as the GranSport 54.

  • Oceano

Long-range displacement yachts for extended cruising. Buyers search for models such as the Oceano 44 and Oceano 50.

Performance and range

Speed, range and how you cruise

Fast yachts reach destinations quickly but use far more fuel at speed. Displacement yachts cruise further and more comfortably at lower speeds. Match the family to your cruising areas and passage lengths. We only quote figures from a yacht's verified listing.

Construction

Composite, aluminium or steel

  • Composite: light and fast, check laminate, core and repair history
  • Aluminium: light and strong, check corrosion protection and welds
  • Steel: robust for long-range hulls, check thickness readings and coatings

We only show the material recorded on each listing.

Propulsion

Waterjets or shaft drive

  • Waterjets: impellers, housings, steering and service records
  • Shaft drive: shafts, propellers, seals and alignment
  • Engines and gearboxes: hours, rebuilds and maintenance history

Model and generation

Same model, different yacht

A model name can span several generations with different layouts, engines and equipment. Confirm the generation, hull number and build documents, and compare against sister yachts of the same generation.

Choosing a route

Pre-owned or new build?

A pre-owned Mangusta can be yours within months of an agreed sale, and a refit can adapt her to you. A new build takes longer, but follows your brief from the start.

We can set out all three routes side by side, including timing, deposits and project representation. Explore new-build advisory →

Resale market

Comparing Mangusta yachts on the resale market

Compare range, model and generation first, then combine the yacht's own specification with yachts of similar size, age and type from comparable builders. Compare build year, refit history, layout, hours and condition, not asking price alone.

Completed sale prices are usually confidential, so we do not publish estimated values. Asking-price changes we track appear in the Lund yacht market hub once there is enough verified data.

Due diligence

How to assess a pre-owned Mangusta

  • Independent hull, machinery and systems surveys
  • Sea trial under representative conditions
  • Class and flag status
  • Refit, warranty and yard history
  • Maintenance logs and crew handover documentation
  • Ownership, registration and encumbrance checks by qualified counsel
  • Charter compliance, if relevant
  • An operating budget matched to the yacht's size

For fast yachts

  • Engine, gearbox and jet hours and rebuilds
  • Hull and structure after high-speed use
  • Sea trial at speed under representative conditions
  • Refit scope and later modifications

Refit & ownership

Refit and the cost of ownership

Many pre-owned yachts go into refit after purchase, to update interiors, technical systems or compliance. Owners can return to the original builder or use another qualified refit yard; plan the scope and timing before you commit.

Annual costs usually include crew, insurance, berthing, maintenance, fuel, class and flag. They scale with size, speed and use. We would rather estimate costs for a specific yacht than quote a generic percentage.

Mangusta yachts: frequently asked questions

Is Lund Group an official Mangusta dealer?

No. Lund Group is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by or representing Mangusta or Overmarine. We represent buyers and work with the listing broker or seller's representative on each yacht.

Are there Mangusta yachts for sale right now?

This page shows Mangusta yachts published for sale in our database and updates automatically. When there are none, we can approach the market privately for your brief.

What is the difference between Maxi Open, GranSport and Oceano?

Maxi Open yachts prioritise speed and open living, GranSport balances speed with range and volume, and Oceano focuses on long-range displacement cruising. Each suits a different way of using a yacht.

Waterjets or shafts: what should I check?

For waterjets, review impeller and housing condition, service records and hours. For shaft drives, check shafts, propellers, seals and alignment. In both cases, verify engine and gearbox hours and maintenance history.

How much does a Mangusta cost?

Prices depend on family, model, generation, year, engines, hours, specification and condition. We only show asking prices published on a verified listing.

Can you find a Mangusta that is not publicly listed?

We can approach the market discreetly for your brief. We cannot promise off-market inventory. Any opportunity is confirmed only once the owner or their representative agrees to share it.

Should I buy a pre-owned Mangusta or a new one?

A pre-owned yacht can be yours within months. A new build takes longer but follows your brief. We can compare both routes with you.
