Verified inventory

No Publicly Verified Netherlands Listings Right Now

We currently have no public sale listing whose location in the Netherlands we can verify. That does not mean there is nothing to view: many yachts pass through Dutch yards for refit, survey or delivery. Brief our yacht desk and we will search the international market — including discreet and off-market opportunities — without presenting availability or location as confirmed until the seller, shipyard or central agent verifies it.

Part of Yachts for sale in Europe

the Netherlands counts include only published sale listings whose the Netherlands location was verified within the last 90 days, or whose the Netherlands viewing is confirmed or on request. A median asking price is shown only with at least three priced the Netherlands listings in one currency; currencies are never combined. We do not publish the Netherlands transaction volumes, average prices or days on market without a documented dataset.

Method

Location is not builder country

A yacht appears in the Netherlands listing only when its current sale or viewing location has been verified as the Netherlands. A Feadship lying in Monaco is not listed here; an Italian-built yacht verified in a Dutch port is.

We keep current location, viewing location, builder country, flag, registry, owner domicile, VAT status, delivery location and refit location separate. Each is confirmed independently and never inferred from another.

Heritage

Dutch yacht building

The Netherlands is one of the world's reference points for custom superyacht construction, known for steel and aluminium craftsmanship, engineering depth and long-standing family and naval-architecture traditions.

Dutch-built yachts are found for sale worldwide. Their build quality and yard support often matter to buyers, but the yacht's condition, history and survey always come first.

Shipyards

Dutch yacht builders

Major Dutch builders include Feadship (a collaboration of the De Vries and Van Lent yards with De Voogt Naval Architects), Oceanco, Amels and Damen Yachting, Heesen, Moonen and Hakvoort, among others.

Each has its own size range, design language and after-sales culture. Our builder pages explain what to look for; they never imply that a yard endorses Lund Group or a particular sale.

Clarity

Dutch-built yachts are shown separately

The section of Dutch-built yachts for sale lists yachts by builder nationality wherever they are located. Each card shows its verified location, or “location on request”. These yachts are never counted as yachts in the Netherlands.

Geography

Where yachts are built in the Netherlands

Yacht building is spread across the country — from the waterways around Amsterdam and Aalsmeer to the southern and eastern yards and the coast of Zeeland. Many hulls are built at one site and outfitted at another.

A yacht lying at a Dutch yard may be in build, refit or warranty work and is not necessarily for sale or available to view.

Viewings

Viewing a yacht in the Netherlands

We verify the yacht's location, confirm access with the seller's agent or yard, review the listing documentation, then arrange a private viewing. Yard visits are subject to site safety rules and the owner's consent.

Viewings are discreet by default: no public berth details, no unannounced visits.

Diligence

Sea trial and survey

After agreement in principle, a sea trial tests machinery, systems and handling under way. Dutch waters and weather can affect timing, and some trials take place on inland waterways or at sea from a coastal port.

An independent pre-purchase survey — hull, machinery, systems and documentation — is arranged with surveyors chosen for the buyer, not the seller. Haul-out options at a Dutch yard can make inspection of the underwater hull easier.

Refit

Refit and shipyard inspection

Many yachts come to the Netherlands for refit, repaint or class work. A refit location is not a sale location; we confirm whether a yacht in refit is genuinely for sale and when it can be seen.

Where relevant, we coordinate refit quotes and yard time as part of the purchase plan.

Options

New build vs brokerage

A new Dutch build offers full customisation but long lead times. A brokerage yacht offers immediate use and a known track record. Some yards occasionally offer build slots or speculative projects; we present these only when the yard or its agent confirms them.

Commercials

Asking price, currency and VAT

Asking prices are shown in the seller's currency and never converted into a fact. Price-on-request listings stay that way until the agent shares terms.

Being located in the Netherlands, or in EU waters, does not establish a yacht's VAT status. VAT, flag and registry are confirmed from documents and advised on by independent tax and legal professionals.

Structure

Flag, registry and transaction

Flag and registry are independent of where a yacht lies. A typical transaction uses a memorandum of agreement, deposit held in escrow, sea trial and survey conditions, and a formal closing with bill of sale and deregistration/registration steps.

Lund Group represents the buyer's interests and coordinates with lawyers, surveyors and the seller's central agent.

Discretion

Private and off-market search

Not every Dutch-built or Netherlands-based yacht is publicly listed. On a private brief, we approach the market discreetly and present an opportunity only when the seller or authorised representative confirms it.

Logistics

Getting to a viewing

Amsterdam Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague and Eindhoven airports serve private aviation, and business aviation terminals are available. Lund Group can arrange private flights and chauffeured ground transport between the airport, yards and ports.

Industry

METSTRADE and the Dutch industry

Amsterdam hosts METSTRADE, the leisure marine equipment trade show, with a dedicated superyacht pavilion. It is an industry event rather than a sales show; yachts are not displayed for sale there.

Process

How a Netherlands purchase works with Lund Group

Define the brief, search the market, verify location and documentation, view and compare, negotiate, sea trial and survey, close, then hand over with crew, insurance and first-season planning.

Owners

Selling a yacht in the Netherlands

Owners with a yacht in the Netherlands — at a yard after refit, or Dutch-built and located elsewhere — can brief us for a discreet market review. We never publish a berth without consent.

Questions

Buying a yacht in the Netherlands — FAQ

Does this page list every Dutch-built yacht?

No. The main listing shows only yachts verified as currently located in the Netherlands. Dutch-built yachts are shown in a separate section, wherever they are.

Why are there no yachts listed in the Netherlands right now?

Because none of our public listings currently has a verified Netherlands location. We never fill the page with yachts located elsewhere.

Is a Feadship for sale in Monaco listed here?

No. It appears in the Dutch-built section with its own location, never as a yacht in the Netherlands.

Can an Italian-built yacht appear here?

Yes, if its current sale or viewing location is verified as the Netherlands.

Do you publish exact berths?

No. We show the country, or a port only where the seller agrees it may be public.

Does a Netherlands location mean the yacht is VAT paid?

No. VAT status is confirmed from documents and independent advice, never from location.

Can I view a yacht at a Dutch shipyard?

Often, with the owner's consent and under yard safety rules. We arrange access in advance.

Can I buy a new Dutch build?

Yes. We can approach yards for build slots and present any that are confirmed.

How long does a Dutch new build take?

It depends on size and yard. Large custom projects typically take several years; we confirm timelines with the yard.

Can a survey be done in the Netherlands?

Yes. Dutch yards offer haul-out facilities, which can help a thorough pre-purchase survey.

Do you work with the seller's broker?

Yes. We coordinate with the central agent while representing the buyer.

Can you find off-market Dutch-built yachts?

We search discreetly and present opportunities only when the seller or their representative confirms them.

How do I travel to a viewing?

We can arrange private flights to Dutch airports and ground transport to the yard or port.

Is METSTRADE a yacht sales show?

No. It is an equipment trade show; yachts are not displayed for sale.

Can I sell my yacht through Lund Group?

Yes. Brief us for a confidential market review.

Is Lund Group affiliated with any Dutch shipyard?

No. Lund Group is independent.

How quickly will you reply?

Usually within one working day.
