Overview
What Is the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS?
The Falcon 2000LXS combines a genuine large-cabin heavy jet interior with 4,000 nautical miles of range and unusually strong short-field, low-speed and steep-approach performance.
The Falcon 2000LXS is not the Heavy Jet with the most seats or the most range. Its advantage is how much large-cabin capability it combines with where it can operate.
It is not a smaller Falcon 6X. It is a distinct, current Dassault aircraft, and the individual aircraft still matters: layout, connectivity and operator approvals are confirmed against your route, passengers, luggage and airports.
Status
Current Production and Active Market
In service is not the same as available for charter on your date. We check live inventory for every request.
Falcon 2000 series
A mature large-cabin platform, with nearly 700 Falcon 2000-series aircraft currently in service according to Dassault.
2000EX / LX → LXS
The LXS refines the family with improved airport performance, cabin updates and the EASy II flight deck. Earlier variants remain active in charter.
2026 portfolio
Dassault's current aircraft overview lists the Falcon 10X, 8X, 6X and 2000LXS. The 2000LXS has not been replaced by the 6X.
Right-sizing
Falcon 2000LXS, 6X, 8X or Challenger 650?
Falcon 2000LXS
Large cabin, 4,000 nm and the strongest airport flexibility of the current Falcon range.
Falcon 6X
A larger, wider ultra-widebody cabin and more range, with a bigger airport footprint.
Falcon 8X
Three engines and long-range reach for the longest Falcon missions.
Challenger 650
A wide-cabin heavy rival with similar range; choice comes down to aircraft, layout and airports.
Range
What Does the Published Range Actually Mean?
Published maximum: 4,000 nm source.
The published figure
Dassault publishes 4,000 nm with 8 passengers under its current methodology. It is a maximum, not a promise for every flight.
Transatlantic
Many Europe–US East Coast pairs are within reach; each flight is calculated for winds, payload and season.
Winds and season
Westbound winter headwinds reduce what is possible nonstop.
Short runways
Runway length, temperature and elevation can limit take-off weight and therefore range.

Where a Falcon 2000LXS Can Reach
Within Europe
Comfortably within range, including airports with shorter runways (confirmed per flight).
Europe ↔ US East Coast
A typical mission; westbound winter sectors confirmed per flight.
Gulf ↔ Europe
Within range for many city pairs.
Longest city pairs
Need a Falcon 8X, Global or Gulfstream, or a technical stop.
Cabin
Large Cabin, Windows, Sleeping and Baggage
A 7 ft 8 in wide, 6 ft 2 in tall cabin with 18 large windows. Actual seating, sleeping and layout depend on the individual aircraft.
Width and height
7 ft 8 in wide and 6 ft 2 in tall (Dassault reference).
Passengers
Typically 8–10 passengers depending on layout. On overnight flights we plan fewer passengers than seats.
Windows
18 large cabin windows for a bright cabin.
Baggage
130.6 ft³ referenced. Real capacity depends on bag shapes, skis and golf bags; confirmed per flight.
Sleeping
Divans and seats can convert to berths. Berth count confirmed per aircraft.
Connectivity
Systems, coverage and data allowances vary. We confirm the installed system for your route.
Engineering
EASy II, FalconEye, PW308C and Corporate Use
EASy II flight deck
Dassault's integrated flight deck. Installed options confirmed per aircraft.
FalconEye (optional)
Combined vision system offered as an option; not every aircraft has it.
PW308C engines
Twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C engines and a 47,000 ft ceiling.
Corporate use
Well suited to executive teams and roadshows; see corporate aviation for multi-leg programmes.
Airport performance
Short Runways, Steep Approaches and London City
This is where the Falcon 2000LXS stands out. Dassault quotes a 4,675 ft takeoff distance at MTOW, a 2,260 ft unfactored landing distance and an approach speed of about 105 knots. Every airport is still confirmed per flight.
Takeoff reference
Dassault quotes 4,675 ft at MTOW. Real runway requirements depend on weight, temperature and elevation.
Landing and approach
A 2,260 ft unfactored landing-distance reference and about 105 knots approach speed. Operational landing distances are factored and longer.
London City and steep approaches
The Falcon 2000LXS is associated with steep-approach capability. Approvals are aircraft, operator and crew specific; confirmed per flight.
Monaco and the Riviera
Nice is the usual gateway, with helicopter or car transfer; smaller regional airports are checked per flight.
Missions
Falcon 2000LXS Route Use Cases
London → New York
A typical transatlantic mission; winter westbound winds confirmed per flight.
Corporate roadshow
Several European cities in a day, including shorter runways where approved.
