Private celebrations aboard yachts actually approved for the guest list and format
Party Yacht Charter
Owner approval, certified capacity, position and local rules come before the DJ.
How we work
A large deck does not make an event yacht
Capacity is verified first
A large deck does not automatically make a yacht an event yacht. We confirm the certified event capacity for your format and location before proposing anything.
Owner approval
Many owners do not allow events, music after a set hour, external caterers or fireworks. We ask before you plan — not after.
Private and controlled
A named guest list, managed tender arrivals, a professional crew and, where needed, discreet security. Celebration without chaos.
Format
What kind of party?
Dinner party
Seated dinner for a small group, in a calm anchorage or alongside the quay.
Cocktail reception
Standing reception with canapés and a bar — the format with the highest guest numbers.
Sunset party
Late afternoon to after dark, timed around the light and the anchorage.
DJ party
A yacht that allows amplified music, with a DJ aboard or a built-in sound system.
Day into night
Swimming and lunch, then music and dinner — a full day on one yacht.
Private reception
A hosted evening for clients, friends or a launch, alongside in port.

Guests (verified event capacity)
Tell us the guest list and format. We'll find the approved yacht.
Share the date, location, guest count and the kind of evening you have in mind. We confirm owner approval, certified event capacity, music rules and berth or anchorage before proposing any yacht.
Plan a Private Yacht PartyGuest numbers
Guest count is not cabin count
A yacht that sleeps twelve may legally host many more guests for a day event — or fewer than you expect. Event capacity depends on the yacht's certification, the format (seated or standing), whether it is at anchor or alongside, and local rules.
We list only verified seated-dinner, cocktail or reception capacity. If a yacht has none on record, it is not shown here.
Location
At anchor, in the marina or alongside
Alongside the quay makes guest arrival simple but brings marina rules on noise and closing times. At anchor gives privacy and views but every guest arrives by tender, which limits numbers and timing.
Ports such as Monaco, Cannes and Saint-Tropez are busiest during major events; berths and anchorages are confirmed per date.
Music
Music, DJ and noise rules
Some yachts have a built-in sound system and allow a DJ; others allow background music only. We confirm the owner's rules, power and space for equipment, and the local noise limits and curfew for your location.
Amplified music at anchor near other yachts or homes is often restricted after a set hour.
Food & drink
Catering and bar
The yacht's chef handles smaller dinners; larger receptions may need an approved external caterer. Bar service is planned with the chief stewardess and served responsibly — the crew may stop service at any time for safety.
Guests
Arrival, guest list and security
Guests arrive by tender or at the gangway against a named guest list. For larger or high-profile events we can arrange door control and discreet private security.
Decor
Decor, fireworks and candles
Many yachts restrict naked flames, glitter, confetti, adhesive decor and fireworks. Fireworks usually require a licensed operator and local permission. We confirm what is allowed before anything is ordered.
Privacy
Photography and privacy
Set the rules in advance: no-phone policies, an approved photographer only, no social posting. Crew are briefed accordingly.
Weather
Weather plan
Wind and swell can move an event from anchor to the marina, or indoors. The captain decides on the day; we plan an alternative with you in advance.
Cost
What a yacht party costs
The charter fee is only part of it. Food and drink, external caterers, DJ and equipment, decor, security, berthing, event fees and tender transfers are usually additional. We quote everything in writing.

Questions
Party yacht charter FAQ
Can I rent a yacht for a private party?
Yes, where the owner approves events and the yacht has verified event capacity for your format and location.
How many guests can a party yacht hold?
It depends on the yacht's certification, the format and the location. We list only verified capacities.
Is event capacity the same as sleeping capacity?
No. Day-event capacity can be higher or lower than berths; it is set by certification and local rules.
Can we have a DJ?
Where the owner permits amplified music and local noise rules allow it. We confirm before booking.
Is there a yacht with a nightclub?
A few large yachts have dedicated entertainment areas. We describe what is actually aboard rather than using the word "nightclub".
Can we party at anchor?
Often, with limits on guest numbers, tender transfers and music after a set hour.
Can we hold the party in the marina?
Yes, subject to berth availability and marina rules on noise, closing time and events.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Some yachts allow approved external caterers; others use their own chef only.
Are drinks unlimited?
No. Bar service is planned in advance and served responsibly; the crew can stop service for safety.

What happens if the weather turns?

Where are the best places for a yacht party?

How far ahead should we book?
For major event weeks, many months ahead. Otherwise, as early as possible for the best choice.
Can it be a birthday or corporate event?
Yes — see our birthday and corporate event pages for format-specific guidance.
How much does a yacht party cost?
The charter fee plus food, drink, music, decor, security, berthing and event fees. We quote in writing.
Event capacity, owner approval, music, catering, decor, fireworks and timings are confirmed in writing per yacht, date and location. Guest numbers are limited by the yacht's certification and local authorities, not by deck size. Alcohol is served responsibly at the captain's and crew's discretion. Marina, port and municipal rules on noise, curfews and events apply. Images may be illustrative. Lund Group is independent and not affiliated with any marina, venue, club or event named on this page.
