The Exumas are a chain of some 365 cays running south-east from Nassau, set in unusually shallow, luminous water over pale sand. The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park protects a long central section, and anchorages sit within minutes of each other.
Guests charter here for sandbars and shallow anchorages, the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, snorkelling and diving on shallow reefs and very short passages between cays. A yacht keeps all of it within reach without daily transfers, and the crew shapes each day around the weather, the sea state and how much time you want at anchor rather than under way.

Northern Exumas
Highbourne Cay
Often the first stop after crossing from Nassau, Highbourne Cay has a marina, beaches and nearby reefs. It is a natural place to settle in on the first day. Marina berths are confirmed per yacht and date.
Protected waters
Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park, Warderick Wells and Cambridge Cay
The Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park is a protected area with no-take rules, moorings and park fees. Warderick Wells is home to the park headquarters, and Cambridge Cay offers some of the park's best snorkelling.

Central Exumas
Compass Cay
Compass Cay is known for its marina and calm waters, and for nurse sharks often seen near the docks. Any wildlife interaction follows local guidance and the captain's judgement.
The heart of the Exumas
Staniel Cay, Thunderball Grotto and Pig Beach
Staniel Cay is a social hub, with a yacht club, an airstrip and easy access to Thunderball Grotto, a limestone cave best snorkelled at slack tide.
Nearby Big Major Cay is home to the famous swimming pigs of Pig Beach. Visits follow local guidance on feeding and wildlife welfare.
Southern cays
Great Guana Cay and Beyond
Further south, Great Guana Cay and the cays towards Great Exuma are quieter, with long beaches and small settlements. Longer charters may continue towards Great Exuma and George Town.
The crossing
Nassau to the Exumas
Many Exumas charters begin in Nassau, with a crossing to the northern cays on the first day. Crossing time depends on the yacht, the sea and the route, so we confirm it per yacht.
Charters may also start closer to the cays, for example near Staniel Cay or Great Exuma, where the yacht and berths allow.

When to Charter in the Exumas
Winter and spring are the most popular months, with pleasant temperatures and drier weather. Summer is hotter and quieter.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November. Many yachts reposition, and plans stay flexible. The captain always has the final say on weather.
Cost
Exumas Yacht Charter Prices
There is no single price. Cost depends on the yacht, its size and crew, the season, the length of the charter and the route. Each yacht's rate is shown in its original currency when listed.
The base rate is not all-inclusive. Expect an APA (advance provisioning allowance) for fuel, food, drinks, berths, park fees and extras. Unused funds are reconciled at the end. Any VAT or tax that applies in The Bahamas, and a customary crew gratuity, come on top.
Every charter is governed by a written charter agreement setting out the rate, APA, payments, cancellation and responsibilities. We review it with you before you commit.
Arrival
Getting to the Exumas and Private Aviation
Most guests fly into Nassau (NAS) and join the yacht there. Exuma International Airport near George Town and smaller airstrips, such as Staniel Cay, can suit some itineraries.
Lund can arrange private jets and connecting flights. Runway suitability, landing permission and handling are confirmed for each trip.
Before or after
Nassau and the Exumas Together
Many guests add a stay in Nassau or on Paradise Island before or after the charter. Lund can help with hotels, villas, dining and transfers on request; each arrangement is confirmed individually.
