Overview

What Can a Global 7500 Actually Do?

The Bombardier Global 7500 entered service in 2018 and remains one of the most capable ultra-long-range business jets in active service. Since December 2025 Bombardier's flagship is the Global 8000, an evolution of the same platform, but the 7500 is still the aircraft clients most often find on the long-range charter market.

The model name is only the starting point. Two Global 7500s can differ in seating, bedroom layout, shower, connectivity, age and operator. We confirm the actual aircraft against your route, passengers and luggage before you commit.

Range

What Does 7,700 nm Actually Mean?

A maximum, not a promise

Bombardier's published range assumes specific passenger, reserve and weather conditions. Your flight's real nonstop range is calculated by the operator.

Winds matter

Westbound winter flights against strong headwinds can need noticeably more fuel than the same route eastbound.

Payload matters

More passengers and heavier luggage reduce the margin available for the longest sectors.

Airports matter

Short or hot, high runways can limit take-off weight, and therefore fuel, before the flight even starts.

Cabin

A Four-Zone Cabin

Bombardier designed the Global 7500 around four living spaces. Configurations differ between aircraft; we confirm the actual layout.

Club suite

Typically forward club seating for working, dining informally or resting near the galley. Seat count varies by aircraft.

Conference / dining

Many aircraft carry a table for meals or meetings. Some layouts convert it to extra seating or a berth.

Entertainment / lounge

Often a divan and screen. Divans may convert to sleeping positions; this is confirmed per aircraft.

Principal suite

Bombardier offers an aft principal suite with a fixed bed in many configurations. Whether the aircraft offered has a fixed bed is confirmed before booking.

On board

Bedroom, Shower, Sleeping, Baggage and Wi-Fi

Shower

A shower is an optional installation, not standard on every Global 7500. We confirm it, and its water limits, for the specific aircraft.

Sleeping capacity

Sleeping positions depend on divans, convertible seats and any fixed bed. We give you the aircraft's actual berth count, which is lower than its seat count.

Passengers

Certified seating and comfortable seating are different. On overnight sectors we usually plan for fewer passengers than seats so everyone can rest.

Baggage

The 7500 has a pressurised baggage compartment accessible in flight. Real capacity depends on bag shapes, skis, golf bags and the aircraft's load; we confirm per flight.

Baggage access

Because the hold is inside the pressurised cabin, bags can usually be reached during the flight. Confirm with the operator for items you need on board.

Galley

A full galley supports multi-course catering. Menus, ovens and coffee equipment vary; catering is arranged per flight.

Crew suite

Long sectors can need an augmented crew. A crew rest area is fitted on many aircraft; its presence affects legal duty time and is confirmed per aircraft.

Cabin attendant

A dedicated cabin attendant is common on ultra-long-range flights. Confirm whether one is included in the quote.

Connectivity

Ka-band and other systems are installed on many Global 7500s, but the system, coverage and data allowance vary. We confirm the installed system for your route.

Engineering

Seating, Light, Air and Wing

Nuage seating

Bombardier's Nuage seat, designed with a tilt-link and floating base for a deeper recline.

Soleil lighting

A circadian lighting system intended to help passengers adjust across time zones.

Air system

Bombardier publishes a low cabin altitude and a filtered air system; cabin altitude varies with flight level.

Smooth Flex Wing

A wing designed to adapt for efficiency at speed and for approach performance.

Engines

Powered by two GE Passport engines.

Global Vision flight deck

Bombardier's flight deck with head-up display and enhanced vision options, depending on aircraft.

Missions

Global 7500 Route Use Cases

Examples only. Nonstop feasibility is calculated by the operator for each flight.

London → New York

Well within the aircraft's range in most conditions, leaving margin for passengers and luggage.

London → Los Angeles

A typical ultra-long-range mission. Winter westbound winds are the main variable.

Gulf → United States

Dubai or Abu Dhabi to the US East Coast can be planned nonstop; payload and season are confirmed per flight.

Destination page

São Paulo → Monaco

A long Atlantic crossing to Nice for Monaco. Nonstop feasibility is checked against payload and winds.

Destination page

Shanghai → Monaco

Overflight permissions and routing matter as much as range. Confirmed per flight.

Hong Kong / Singapore → Europe

Long sectors where cabin comfort and a crew rest area matter most.

Saint-Tropez

La Môle is not suitable for a Global 7500; flights usually use Nice or Toulon-Hyères with a transfer.

Destination page

Santorini

Island runway and handling limits apply; Athens can serve as a fallback. Confirmed per flight.

Destination page

Hot-weather airports

High temperatures can reduce take-off weight in the Gulf and summer Mediterranean. The operator calculates this per flight.

The next evolution

Global 7500 and Global 8000

Shared platform

Both aircraft share the BD-700-2A12 platform and a four-zone cabin concept.

What the 8000 adds

Greater published range and higher maximum speed, among other certified changes.

Retrofit

Bombardier designed the Global 8000 performance improvements to be retrofittable to qualifying Global 7500 aircraft. Whether a given aircraft has been upgraded is confirmed per aircraft.

For charter

Global 8000 charter availability is still very limited. For most trips a well-configured Global 7500 is the practical choice.

Acquisition

Global 7500 for Sale and Acquisition

See aircraft acquisition for buyer-side advisory, or aircraft for sale for verified listings. We show a Global 7500 listing only when one is verified.

Buying a Global 7500

We act on the buyer side to source aircraft that fit your mission, not just the model name.

Pre-owned aircraft

Records, maintenance programmes, interior condition and inspection results matter more than delivery year alone.

Global 8000 upgrade

If an aircraft qualifies for the Bombardier upgrade, its status and cost belong in the acquisition discussion.

Owner and charter

Some owners place aircraft with a charter operator. Revenue and availability vary; we explain the trade-offs.

Environment

Environmental Data

Bombardier publishes environmental product information for its Global aircraft. We refer you to the manufacturer's data rather than quoting figures here; sustainable aviation fuel availability is confirmed per flight.
