Overview

What Is the Gulfstream G800?

The Gulfstream G800 is Gulfstream's longest-range aircraft in current production. It combines the familiar G650-size cabin cross-section with the wing and Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines developed for the G700.

It was certified by the FAA and EASA in April 2025, and the first customer aircraft was delivered on 27 August 2025. In service does not mean available for charter on your date. The charter fleet is still small, so we check live availability for every request.

The G800 is built for maximum intercontinental range, but the aircraft still has to suit the actual passengers, payload, airport and mission.

In service is not the same as available for charter on your date. We check live inventory for every request.

Successor to the G650 / G650ER

The G800 takes the G650ER's place in Gulfstream's line-up, with the same cabin size and more range.

What changed

The G700's wing and winglets, Pearl 700 engines and the Symmetry flight deck.

What stayed

A similar cabin cross-section and overall size, which keeps it smaller than the G700.

The G650ER today

Production has ended, but the G650ER remains far more widely available in charter.

Range

What Does the Published Range Actually Mean?

Published maximum: 8,000 nm source · high-speed: 7,000 nm source · max altitude: 51,000 ft source · takeoff distance: 6,000 ft source.

The published figure

Gulfstream publishes a maximum range at Mach 0.85 with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. It is a reference, not a promise.

High-speed range

Gulfstream also publishes a shorter range at Mach 0.90 for clients who prioritise time.

Winds and season

Winter headwinds on westbound flights can reduce what is possible nonstop. The operator plans each flight.

Payload

More passengers and luggage reduce the margin on the longest sectors.

Airports

Short, hot or high runways can limit take-off weight, and therefore fuel.

Takeoff

Gulfstream's takeoff distance figure assumes sea level, ISA and maximum weight. Real airport performance is calculated per flight.

Range illustration

Where a G800 Can Reach From Here

Indicative only. Each flight is calculated by the operator.

Europe → US East Coast

Typically well within range.

Europe → US West Coast

Usually feasible nonstop; winds and payload matter.

Gulf → United States

Long sectors that the G800 is designed for; confirmed per flight.

East Asia → Europe

Within published capability on many city pairs; overflight permits and crew duty matter.

South America → Europe

Often feasible; confirmed per flight.

Cabin

Cabin, Sleeping, Shower, Baggage and Crew Rest

Cabin height 1.91 m source · width 2.49 m source · baggage 195 ft³ source. Actual seating, sleeping and layout depend on the individual aircraft.

Cabin dimensions

Gulfstream publishes cabin height, width and length. Usable space depends on the installed interior.

G800 vs G700 cabin

The G700 is about three metres longer, with more living areas. The G800 trades cabin length for range.

Passengers

Up to 19 seats is a certified maximum. For overnight flights we usually plan far fewer passengers so everyone can rest.

Sleeping

Divans and seats can convert to berths. Fewer people can sleep than can sit, and the berth count is confirmed per aircraft.

Bedroom

Some layouts have an aft stateroom or private area; others do not. Confirmed per aircraft.

Shower

A shower is an optional installation, not a standard feature. We confirm whether one is fitted.

Windows

Gulfstream's large panoramic oval windows.

Cabin altitude

Gulfstream highlights a low cabin altitude, which can make long flights less tiring.

Fresh air

Gulfstream states that cabin air is 100% fresh and not recirculated.

Lighting

Circadian lighting is designed to help with jet lag; the exact installation is confirmed per aircraft.

Connectivity

Systems and coverage vary by aircraft. We confirm the installed system for your route.

Baggage

The baggage hold is accessible in flight. Real capacity depends on bag shapes, skis and golf bags; confirmed per flight.

Galley

Galley equipment varies by layout. Catering is arranged per flight.

Lavatories

The number and layout of lavatories depend on the interior; confirmed per aircraft.

Crew rest

Gulfstream layouts can include a crew compartment. Ultra-long sectors may need augmented crew; confirmed per aircraft and flight.

Crew duty

Flight-time and duty limits can matter as much as range on the longest routes. The operator plans crewing.

Engineering

Missions

G800 Route Use Cases

Examples only, confirmed per flight. Feasibility is calculated by the operator for each flight.

Singapore → Europe

A long sector that can often be planned nonstop. Payload, season and overflight permits are confirmed per flight.

Shanghai → Monaco (via Nice)

Nice Côte d'Azur is the usual jet airport for Monaco; the final transfer is by helicopter or car. Confirmed per flight.

Destination page

Hong Kong → Monaco (via Nice)

An ultra-long sector where winds and payload decide whether it is nonstop. Confirmed per flight.

Destination page

São Paulo → Monaco (via Nice)

A transatlantic mission within published capability in many conditions. Confirmed per flight.

Destination page

Gulf → United States

Riyadh, Abu Dhabi or Dubai to the US are typical G800 missions. Westbound winds matter.

Destination page

Europe → Miami

Comfortably within range in most conditions.

Acquisition

G800 for Sale and Acquisition

See aircraft acquisition for buyer-side advisory, or aircraft for sale for verified listings. We show a G800 listing only when one is verified.

New G800

New aircraft are ordered through Gulfstream with delivery slots. We act as buyer-side advisers, not as the manufacturer.

Pre-owned G800

The pre-owned market is still very young. We only show a listing when one is verified.

New G800 or pre-owned G650ER

A G650ER offers earlier availability and a lower entry price. The G800 offers more range, newer engines and newer technology. We compare both against your mission.

G800 or G700

Choose between range (G800) and a longer cabin (G700) based on your real passenger numbers and routes.
