Overview
What Is the Gulfstream G600?
The G600 combines current-generation Gulfstream technology with a mature in-service fleet and enough range for the majority of intercontinental missions, without automatically moving into G700 or G800 territory.
The G600 is for missions that need long range, high speed and a substantial cabin, but do not need the maximum cabin of the G700 or the maximum range of the G800.
As with any model, the individual aircraft matters more than the name. Layout, connectivity, age and operator differ between aircraft, and we confirm the actual aircraft against your route, passengers, luggage and airports.
Status
Current Production and Active Charter Market
In service is not the same as available for charter on your date. We check live inventory for every request.
2019
The G600 enters service.
23 March 2026
Gulfstream announces the 200th G600 customer delivery, reporting more than 197,000 fleet flight hours, more than 87,000 landings and 95 city-pair speed records.
Today
The G600 remains in Gulfstream's current fleet alongside the G800, G700, G500, G400 and G300. It has not been replaced.
Right-sizing
G600, G500, G700 or G800?
Choose the G600 when
The trip is intercontinental within its range, you want high-speed cruise and up to four living areas, and a mature fleet widens choice on your date.
Move up to the G700 when
Cabin size is the priority: the G700 offers Gulfstream's largest cabin.
Move up to the G800 when
Nonstop range is the priority on the longest city pairs.
Consider the G500 when
The route is shorter and a smaller current-generation Gulfstream is enough.
Range
What Does the Published Range Actually Mean?
Published maximum: 6,600 nm source.
The published figure
Gulfstream publishes 6,600 nm. It is a maximum under stated conditions, not a promise for every flight.
High-speed cruise
Flying faster shortens journey time but reduces range. The operator balances speed and range per flight.
Winds and season
Westbound winter headwinds reduce what is possible nonstop.
Payload and airports
More passengers, luggage or a short, hot or high runway reduce the margin on the longest sectors.

Where a G600 Can Reach
Europe ↔ US East Coast
A core G600 mission. Westbound winter sectors are checked per flight.
Gulf ↔ Europe
Comfortably within range for most city pairs.
Europe ↔ Gulf ↔ Asia
Many sectors are possible nonstop; the longest are confirmed per flight.
Longest city pairs
Some ultra-long sectors need a G700, G800 or Global 7500, or a technical stop. We tell you which.
Cabin
Living Areas, Sleeping, Baggage and Workspace
Up to four living areas. Actual seating, sleeping and layout depend on the individual aircraft.
Up to four living areas
Configurations vary; some aircraft have three. Confirmed per aircraft.
Sleeping
Divans and seats can convert to berths. Berth count is lower than seat count; confirmed per aircraft.
Passengers
Certified and comfortable seating differ. On overnight flights we plan fewer passengers than seats.
Baggage
Accessible in flight. Real capacity depends on bag shapes, skis and golf bags; confirmed per flight.
Workspace
Conference seating suits corporate travel. Configuration confirmed per aircraft.
Crew rest
Long sectors may need crew rest; its presence is confirmed per aircraft.
Connectivity
Systems, coverage and data allowances vary. We confirm the installed system for your route.
Windows and cabin air
Gulfstream's panoramic oval windows and fresh-air cabin systems; details confirmed per aircraft.
Engineering
Wing, Flight Deck and Engines
Engines
Pratt & Whitney Canada PW815GA engines.
Flight deck
Gulfstream Symmetry flight deck with active control sidesticks.
Mature fleet
Current production with a large, established in-service fleet and manufacturer support.
Airports
London City, Monaco and Short Runways
Airport suitability
Whether a specific airport works is calculated per flight by the operator.
London City
Not assumed. Approvals are aircraft and operator specific; confirmed per flight.
Monaco and the Riviera
Nice is the usual gateway, with helicopter or car transfer.
Short, hot or high runways
These can restrict take-off weight and range. Confirmed per flight.
Missions
G600 Route Use Cases
London → New York
A core intercontinental mission. Winter westbound winds are confirmed per flight.
Athens and the islands
Athens as an intercontinental arrival point before island connections.
