No Publicly Verified Caribbean Listings Right Now

We currently have no public sale listing whose location in the Caribbean we can verify. Many yachts pass through the islands each winter; brief our yacht desk and we will search the international and private market without presenting availability or location as confirmed until the seller or central agent verifies it.

the Caribbean counts include only published sale listings whose the Caribbean location was verified within the last 90 days, or whose the Caribbean viewing is confirmed or on request. A median asking price is shown only with at least three priced the Caribbean listings in one currency; currencies are never combined. We do not publish the Caribbean transaction volumes, average prices or days on market without a documented dataset.

Method

How we define the Caribbean

A yacht is counted here only when its current sale or viewing location is verified in St Barts, Antigua & Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands, Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten, Grenada or The Bahamas. Each island is kept as its own location: Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten are separate, and so are the British and US Virgin Islands.

Charter or cruising area, winter positioning, show attendance, flag, owning company and photographs never qualify a yacht.

Discovery

Search by island

St Barts is the winter centre of Caribbean superyachting. Antigua, with English Harbour and Falmouth, is a long-standing yachting base. The British and US Virgin Islands are close neighbours under different flags and customs regimes. Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten share one island across two countries. Grenada is a southern base, often used outside the main season.

The Bahamas has its own full page. Other islands are covered through this hub until they have enough verified listings for their own page.

Geography

The Caribbean and The Bahamas

The Bahamas lies in the Atlantic, north of the Caribbean Sea. Because buyers often compare both, Lund Group includes The Bahamas in a clearly defined Caribbean & Atlantic market grouping, while keeping it as its own country page.

Geography

The Caribbean and Florida

Florida is a major brokerage market and a common departure point for the islands, but a yacht in Florida is never counted as a Caribbean yacht. It appears on the Florida page.

Timing

Seasonal yacht positioning

Many yachts spend winter in the Caribbean and summer in the Mediterranean, crossing the Atlantic in between. The Atlantic hurricane season shapes where yachts are kept in summer and autumn. A yacht's Caribbean location is therefore re-verified regularly, and older positions are never shown as current.

Viewings

Private viewings across islands

We verify each yacht's location, confirm access with the seller's agent, and plan viewings that may combine several islands by private flight or tender, subject to customs and immigration formalities for each country.

Diligence

Sea trials and surveys in tropical conditions

Heat, humidity and warm water test air conditioning, cooling and generators. An independent pre-purchase survey is arranged with surveyors chosen for the buyer; haul-out capacity varies by island and is planned in advance.

Diligence

Due diligence and representation

Title, encumbrances, class, flag, maintenance and crew records are confirmed from documents. Lund Group represents the buyer, coordinating with the seller's central agent, lawyers, surveyors and escrow providers.

Discretion

Private-market sourcing

Not every Caribbean-based yacht is publicly listed. On a private brief we approach the market discreetly and present an opportunity only when the seller or an authorised representative confirms it.

Caution

Customs, import and tax

The Caribbean is many countries and territories — French, Dutch, British, US and independent — each with its own customs, import, cruising-permit and tax rules. A Caribbean location does not establish any of them.

These questions are answered by independent advisors, from documents. Lund Group does not give tax advice.

Structure

Flag and registry

Several Caribbean and Atlantic states are widely used flags. A Caribbean flag does not mean a yacht is in the Caribbean, and a yacht in the islands may fly any flag.

Events

Caribbean yacht shows

The Antigua Charter Yacht Show is a charter industry show, not a sales show. A yacht at a show or at St Barts over New Year is not necessarily for sale. Show dates are confirmed with each organiser.

Logistics

Private aviation for viewings

Lund Group can arrange private flights to the islands, including from New York or Florida, with inter-island hops where needed. St Barts has a short runway that limits aircraft size.

Process

How a Caribbean purchase works with Lund Group

Define the brief, search the market, verify location and documentation, view and compare, negotiate, sea trial and survey, close, then hand over with crew, insurance and first-season planning.

Listings, asking terms, location and viewing availability are subject to verification and may change without notice. A yacht is counted in the Caribbean only from its verified current or viewing location — never from charter or cruising area, winter positioning, show attendance, a Caribbean flag or owning company, photographs, past positioning or proximity from Florida. The Bahamas is included as part of a commercial Caribbean & Atlantic grouping and keeps its own page; Florida and the USA are never included. Each island has its own customs and tax rules; location does not determine them. Exact berths are not published. Lund Group does not provide legal or tax advice. Lund Group is independent and not affiliated with any marina, show organiser, port authority or government body.
