Filters use only details recorded for each yacht. Rates are base charter rates and are compared only within the same currency.
Motor yachts cover the broadest range of private charter experiences. They let you set the pace — moving between anchorages on your schedule rather than the wind's — and typically offer more interior volume than a sailing yacht of similar length.
Full-displacement hulls move through the water rather than over it. They tend to favour comfort, volume and range over speed, and suit longer passages and larger guest programmes.
A compromise hull able to run faster than a displacement yacht when needed, while keeping more volume than a planing boat. Speed and fuel use vary greatly by design.
Lighter, faster yachts — often in the 20m–35m range — built for short hops between bays and day programmes. Interior space and range are usually more limited.
Motor yachts designed or equipped for remote cruising, with greater range, storage and tender capacity. On Lund Group, ‘explorer’ is a verified mission, not a styling label.
Higher speed shortens passages but raises fuel use and often reduces volume. Most of a charter is spent at anchor. We show speeds only where they are recorded.
Range decides how far you can travel between refuelling and how ambitious the itinerary can be. Published figures assume ideal conditions and economical speed.
Zero-speed stabilisers reduce roll at anchor — often the biggest comfort factor for families. We show them only where a yacht lists them.
A beach club opens the stern to the water — a lounge, swim platform and toy launch in one. It changes how a day at anchor feels. Use the filter above to see yachts where it is recorded.
Shorter hops between anchorages, with time spent at sea level. Beach club, tenders and toys matter more than top speed.
Moving between several ports or islands. Cruising speed, range and comfortable motion under way become important.
Cabin layout, crew numbers, stabilisers at anchor and safe swim platforms usually matter more than length alone.
Deck space and an Admin-verified event capacity — which is different from the number of overnight guests.
Guests: overnight guests are usually limited to 12 on commercially operated yachts, whatever the length. Day and event capacity is a separate, verified figure — see party yachts.
The yacht and crew for the period. It does not include running costs.
Advance payment for fuel, food, drinks, berths and fees, reconciled at the end.
Often the largest variable for motor yachts. More hours under way at higher speed means higher spend.
Sailing yachts often burn less fuel, but rate, size and season usually matter more than propulsion.
Size pages show all charter yachts of that length, not only motor yachts.
Coastlines with many anchorages close together make the most of a motor yacht's flexibility.
‘Superyacht’ describes size (commonly 30m+), not propulsion. Many superyachts are motor yachts, but a sailing yacht can be a superyacht too.
View →Explorer is a mission and capability, verified per yacht. Most motor yachts are not explorers.
View →Catamarans offer beam, stability and shallow draft; monohull motor yachts usually offer more interior volume at a given length and higher speed.
View →A sailing yacht offers the experience of sailing and usually lower fuel exposure; a motor yacht offers schedule control, speed and volume.
View →A private, crewed charter of a power-driven yacht. The yacht, crew and itinerary are reserved for your party for the agreed period.
No. This page counts only active published charter yachts recorded as motor yachts; the full charter fleet also includes yachts of other types or yachts still awaiting type verification.
No. Superyacht refers to size, commonly 30m and above. A 24m motor yacht is not a superyacht; a 50m sailing yacht can be.
No. Rates shown are base charter rates where published. Final terms, availability and inclusions are confirmed in writing.
The Advance Provisioning Allowance is a sum paid in advance to cover running costs such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees and communications. Unused APA is reconciled at the end of the charter.
Fuel is normally paid from APA and depends heavily on hours under way and speed. A fast, long-distance itinerary can cost far more in fuel than a relaxed one.
It is commonly quoted as a percentage of the base rate, often in the 25–40% range, but the figure is set per charter and confirmed in the contract.
Usually not. VAT or local charter taxes depend on the yacht, flag and cruising area and are confirmed in writing.
Not always. We only show stabilisers where they are listed for a specific yacht. Zero-speed stabilisers help comfort at anchor; always confirm the system with us.
A sea-level lounge, usually at the stern, opening to the water. We show it only where it is recorded for a yacht.
Not necessarily. Speed costs fuel and often interior volume. Most charter days are spent at anchor, where stability, space and crew matter more.
Overnight charter guests are usually limited to 12 under common commercial rules, regardless of size, unless a yacht is certified otherwise. Day or event capacity is a separate figure.
Only on yachts with a verified event capacity and permission. See our party yacht page or ask us directly.
It depends on guests, crew service, season and itinerary. Use the size guide on this page or ask an adviser for a short list.
Coastlines with many anchorages within short distances — the Riviera, Greek and Croatian islands, the Bahamas — make good use of a motor yacht's flexibility.
For peak summer in the Mediterranean, many clients enquire several months ahead. Shorter notice is possible but choice may be narrower.
Some yachts accept shorter charters or day charters. Minimum terms are set per yacht and confirmed in writing.
Itineraries are flexible within weather, safety, permits and range, at the captain's discretion.
No. Availability changes quickly and is confirmed in writing for your dates.
No. Lund Group arranges private charters; each yacht's ownership and management are separate. Terms are set in the charter agreement.
