- Where does this market data come from?
- Every figure on this page is calculated from the yachts Lund Group currently tracks for sale and for charter, or from individually verified records. We do not license or republish third-party market statistics, and we do not estimate figures we cannot evidence.
- Is this the whole superyacht market?
- No. It is the portion of the market Lund Group actively tracks and can verify. Treat every figure as a sample of the market, clearly labelled as such, rather than an industry total.
- How often is it updated?
- Listing data is recalculated from live inventory on each page load, and a dated snapshot is recorded so changes over time can be measured. Reports and reviewed analysis carry their own publication and revision dates.
- Why are some figures hidden?
- A median or average is only shown where at least 5 comparable listings sit behind it. Below that, a single yacht would distort the figure, so the metric is withheld rather than published.
- Do you publish what yachts actually sold for?
- Only where the transaction price is genuinely public and we can attribute the source. Most yacht sale prices are confidential and we do not disclose or estimate them.
- Is a yacht an investment?
- No. A yacht is a depreciating asset with a significant annual running cost. Nothing in this section is investment, legal, tax or valuation advice.
